I'm wondering how so many of these leak but after a dealer repair never leak again. Or do they?

He was too busy to do a new head and internal swap. I just saw him yesterday for other parts though lol

I had it towed to a reputable shop who backs their work with a warranty.

My Tacoma with 55K miles leaves no stains on my garage floor. I have never had a Toyota vehicle with a leak so bad it needed to be addressed. For small stains I always used cardboard too. As a joke I would fold the cardboard and put it under a seat when I traded in. In reality maybe the next owner could use the cardboard on their garage floor.

One perspective on why it's bad to go somewhere that offer services beyond repair and maintenance.

Leak covered 40K miles after power train warranty expired?
    Not likely even "goodwill"
We had a 2000 Grand Caravan with 100K and the front cover leaked coolant. It had OEM extended drain coolant even.
    Went after DaimlerChrysler, no dice.
Paid the $1000 for the repair.

Let it leak. It’s not a major issue. If it’s leaking really bad, throw some cardboard under it in the garage and check the oil level occasionally. Although annoying, this is not going kill your truck.

Dang you leaked that much and didn’t notice where you parked?
I haven’t heard of them leaking much other than a drip or two, but not saying it couldn’t happen.

No, my serpentine belt broke and it basically dug into the timing chain cover. My entire engine bay was covered when I popped the hood.
