    Work in progress...
My wife has that Edge thing and I had a Focus that didn't have a gas cap. always wonder about water getting in the gas? Probably some kind of run off devise? Sometimes I have to hold the gas nozzle up to make sure the tank on that Edge gets full, and that is a bit of a pain in the ass. I'm good with the old fashioned tried and true cap. I have to pay all these damn gas taxes, I want to screw something.

Do not forget to mix oil with the gas in a 3-parts-gas-1-part-oil mix.

Can't see why we couldn't fit one of them on our Taco. Sounds like a good Mod....:smokertransformer:

I am with you OP. I had 2013 Chrysler 300 that had that feature. Worked perfect, never had an issue with it. It also had an amazing bit of technology that I wish Tacoma engineering could figure out-inside the vehicle push button to open the fuel door. Who knows, maybe 2024? /s

What keeps the gas in the tank if you are on an incline with a full tank while offroading? People climb some pretty steep stuff with a Tacoma. How about a water crossing that turns out way too deep?

I'm not a fan of the cap-less design. My F-150 work truck has that and it spends 90% of its time on dirt. So much dirt and dust gathers on the little flap and works its way into the gas tank. My last work truck needed a new fuel filter almost every year. My current work truck isn't even a year old, so it has been fine, so far. It just has other issues that Ford claims they haven't heard of and can't replicate, but yet, Ford forums know all about it.

If I win the lotto I'd hire a guy to follow me everywhere and open the gas cap for me.

OP...I get it, I liked that feature on my Raptor. I bought one of these way back when I had my FJ, worked well.

It's uniquely bad on TW. "I can't believe anyone would dare to want something I didn't think of and so they must be stupid and lazy!" - posted by guy with a heritage grill with raptor lights and full set of skid plates, sliders, steel bumper and winch that waxes their truck weekly on a 2500 OCI.

Same here! 15 F150 throwing large evap leak. Had 85K miles on it, had Ford ESP. Dealer ordered parts but I was sick of waiting 30+ days on install appt. All 3 dealers around here were same way.
I also had 1st day rental and rental coverage. It's convenient when the dealer has no loaners and no contracts with any rental company.
I traded for 22 Off Road. Before I traded I called local Toyota dealer, I asked them how long for scheduling service, 3 days, that was a no brainer.
    Traded Ford same day
