This method worked great for me, but then you have to get that metal sleeve out which can be a pain if it stayed in the arm. It helps that the Toyota bushings and some aftermarket just pop out on their own sometimes.

The metal sleeve came out on all but one. That one required percussive persuading.

@banditcamp thanks for the recommendation on secret falls. It was about perfect as far as what the wife and kids were willing to do. And it was new for the wife who’s been coming to highlands her while life. I did walkingstick from horse cove rd to the trail head and kept going back up to rich gap rd. Is the tougher part of walking stick if I don’t off and head up to the trail head? I’m glad we didn’tsee anything too rough. The wife’s coffee was trying to make an escape the whole ride.

I'm glad you guys got to go to the falls and enjoyed it!! The way to get to the technical section is when you are on walking stick rd and it tells you to turn right instead of turning keep going straight. The map eventually says you aren't even on a road anymore. You cross a little single lane bridge and soon after that it gets rocky and rutty.

Ok that’s what I thought. We almost did that section accidentally. Thanks again for the cool hike. There were plenty of people heading down to falls as we were heading back out. I was surprised. Of course both our kids ended up in the water so the hike out was cold and complaint filled haha

Haha. We have one that always get in the water too. We went for a walk on the beach in February and he jumped in the ocean.

Yep ours are little sea turtles. They see water and they go towards it. We try to go walking on the beach but can’t because that’s their first move.

Centipede grass is such a PIA to get to grow. I missed the start of the growing season so I have to suffer through shit grass until spring. Spring isn't even the best growing season for Centipede. I thought about putting down some cold weather Kentucky Blue for when the season changes but I don't think it'll grow through my regimen of weed killer tailored for Centipede. I've been slacking bad on the yard this year.

But you do have to pick weeds. Lived in Az for my formative years with xeroscaped yards. Frivolous use of glyphosate helped to control the weeds but the corpses still needed to be uprooted. Hell, even concrete driveways need to be torched or blasted every now and again.

That sure be true... weeds will always find a way. I'm amazed at what's essentially fully grown trees that grow out of the medians on the interstate.
