    gotcha.

    all signs say i should regear...I'm just stubborn. and don't really drive the truck regularly enough to justify the expense these days

    All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    I can easy say I concur with everything you stated. Newer most certainly isn’t better. I had almost the complete 2015 catalogue. Regret selling any of them.

    My current 2017 pops and has had the smog deleted. However, it is currently running a bit rich. It has a pipe and JD Jetting Power Surge on it. To be honest it almost unbearable if you don’t ease off it.
    Been looking to go back to an older one. I did recently pick up a beta 500rrs, and I have to say it feels a lot like the 500xcw, it has none of the smog related items.

    Be sure to take pics when you guys do this. Some of us will be putting bikes in storage and want to live vicariously. :)

    That pic will get the rpm’s up first thing in the morning. :D Would be even more convincing if she was actually riding it.

    Finally got my bike back from the shop, it's all ready to go for the track weekend I have coming up in November, just basic maintenance and replacing rear brake pads.

    Man I'm excited....for anyone who's been to track, pros/cons of camping at the track? Couple friends are going but booking a hotel room nearby. I'm leaning towards camping

    Pro;
    • it saves you money
    • you can hang with friends that are also camping
    • you might get to walk the track
    con;
    • it can stay loud pretty late, so you won't be as rested
    • showers (if available) probably aren't as nice as a motel
    • it could rain/ be cold in Nov.
    • you also have to bring camping gear in addition to track gear
    Just a few off the top of my head

    I always either drove to it in the morning or got a hotel. The few times I've camped I slept like shit, everyone was loud, people arrive early, etc.

    Lets all wish @03dumdum good luck at qualifying for the GS Trophy in South Carolina this weekend!

    I hope he gets in and they give him a new GS1300. This year they go to Namibia in Africa

    Hm okay seems about what I'd expect. The cons aren't too big a deal to me except possibility of rain. I'm a p heavy sleeper and able to sleep in most conditions. Truck is already built out for camping, think I'd just need to bring chairs, a table and food/water I think.

    I'll have to keep a close eye on weather reports. and best of luck @03dumdum!

    Someone at work gave me a Shoei Neotec 2 helmet. It's very nice, but I don't need it. Might sell if anyone is interested. Its the modular version in flat black

    I don’t think we can determine if she was riding it or not from that photo. We all have to stop and start and stop start …

    minor tweaks
    If she's moving she's about a half second from jamming her right leg into the ground, her right leg (when I eventually got around to looking at it) is quite stiff legged. Putting down a stiff leg would probably get her hurt or at the very least cause her to fall that rather impressive "chest protection" she's sportin.
