Those used ones from a shop can be real useful, and are normally built to withstand anything but often times aren't flat any more due to all the banging/welding/etc. on top.

Unless you're doing some real aerospace shit, you won't require a perfect flatness anyway.

You could do a lot with very little, I mean there are people that weld on the floor even.

My only reason for suggesting something local like what I got done is because it can literally last you for many, many years to come.

Not knowing how to weld (or just lacking experience) is one thing that can be learned in time, and having a table to properly fix things in position makes learning all that much easier and less frustrating.

I've done yet another purge already just a week ago.

I still have about 5-6' of 1" square? Maybe 5-6' of 1/2" square? 15' of 2" x "3 rectangular, and not sure what else :bananadead:

All hollow tube, I don't carry solid square.

He wasn't a fan, he couldn't figure out how to jump in the back of the 4runner with it on lol. Gonna just keep it on him at night when we're in bed. Broken duclaw so it just needs time to heal

God forbid I buy copper pipe, which I was planning to do.

Need to create some drops for keeping water out of my air lines.

I'm betting you've done something like that already?

Thanks for the wisdom :fistbump: Definitely can't call a tacoma "aerospace" quality
I think I'll start with the reinforced HF number, and then upgrade to a nicer top once I've "earned" it... I've seen enough videos of barefoot 3rd world stick welding to know that I already have a relatively decent setup with shoes and a roof over my head lol

They do make the dirt "super easy" to remove...you're 100% onto something.

My hands hurt for a good 5 minutes after I staked down my freaking pumpkins this morning, and the grass had just been watered :annoyed:

You should see all the ragtag lifts around here! And no amount of ghetto seems to deter them from always going 20 over. I guess they make up for the lack of mechanical skill with bravery. People take full advantage of no state inspection... if you can bolt a license plate to it, you can drive it

Yeah that's WA too, no inspection, no emissions... We got some real crap on the roads sometimes. Always seems to be mobile meth homes.
