I assume going to Indiana actually, still ain't cheap to be here. Visiting Indiana I realized that they subsidize you for living in a worthless wasteland by making everything cheaper.

That’s what I keep telling your mom but she still won’t call me back :D

But for real, looks good! Can’t wait until the house renovation is further along so I can do fun stuff like this. After being a dirtbag for so long, I’ve always wanted a home worth decorating lol

I don’t know if I’m just getting older or it’s a result of finally owning after living in rental shitholes for the last 15 years but I’ve been getting a growing desire for a nice home… I find myself checking out other peoples paint choices and landscaping, something I never cared about in the past. Maybe it’s just a sign I need to find a woman so she can take over that crusade lol

I think you underestimate these new cameras… I’m sure you’re very familiar with the 10x zoom feature :luvya:

I'm a certified old person when I walk around my neighborhood, admiring the effort people are putting into maintaining their homes and gardens. They're all century old homes in a neighborhood that needs some love so I appreciate the work when I see it.

My yard has a bunch of huge pine trees so the soil is basically ruined by the acid… I’ve been looking at some native wildflowers to cover the bare dirt but it might be a pipe dream. As much as I appreciate a nice lawn, I hate taking precious summer hours to mow grass. Especially in wyo where nothing grows without constant attention and tons of money. I’m sure I’d feel different if I had kiddos playing in the yard though

We've got lavender we planted and they love that stuff

Mint I'll have to add; I use plenty of it in my mojitos cause you gotta mash it up

Mules just take like 2-3 leaves and you don't really taste much of it anyway

    Dammit now I'm craving one

I think there’s more water in that pond than all the rain we get in a year :(
I had a coworker that had some koi and it seemed like fun. I think he had a hell of a time keeping them alive through the winter though. Like you said, I don’t want to pay for heat for a bunch of freeloaders

These little guys are hearty, I don't heat this pond and we have weeks sometimes in the single digit negatives. I've actually only ever had them die in the summer heat. That's the biggest reason why I keep the waterfall going. It cools the water for them the other one adds plenty of air but they need the cooling. I might put a little 200 watt heater in it this winter just to keep it from forming as much ice over the top. I don't like seeing the neighborhood cats walk on it when it is iced over cuz it's usually not that thick and I don't want one falling in.
