    I had my L5-S1 fused in 2014 and a little "roto-rootering" inside those vertebrae done, to alleviate a severe sciatica and stenosis issue I was having. It was a Godsend. The instant I came out of the anesthesia, I notice the nerve pain was gone. It had gotten so bad, I seriously considered climbing pout of my bedroom 2nd story window and jumping. I didn't ask how badly that disc was herniated, but surgeon said it was putting lots of pressure on the nerves coming out of the spinal column and down the left leg - hence the sciatica. I have not had any issues since. At least not with the sciatica or nerve issues at that spot. I still have severely debilitating back pain. I probably have many other ruined discs as well.

    Made it to camp. Forecast dropped about 10 degrees for the weekend since I left home. Oh well. I’ll live. And so far I’m the only one down here. Not even any hunters around. Nice and quiet just the way I like it. So now I’m enjoying some campfire time and waiting for a moose to show up. Then a front row seat for the eclipse tomorrow.

    Well…. That was interesting
    Just sitting here messing with my trail cam trying to get it set up and I see something running along the perimeter of my camp. Thought it was just a squirrel but it was huge.
    A pine marten. And it came about 10 feet from me, ran up a tree, I ran for my camera, and it darted away.
    Hope it comes back. Kinda. Before dark preferably
