Rule 1. In every aspect of life, as well as sport, you have winners and losers.
Rule 2. Life is not fair.

I taught my kids these two simple rules from the time they could talk.

By your post, I'm sure we do not agree and that's okay. Good luck.

Oh, if there is anyone else in this thread that agrees with the "everyone gets a trophy" philosophy, please pm me and I won't darken the doors of this thread again.
    Thank you.

Well my son was hinting at hunting blackpowder and I was hinting he should(as I wanted to get him one) asked mom what she thought and she said it was up to me and I said it’s ordered :spending:

I see both Ace and Hipsi's points, you guys are talking apples and oranges at each other. In youth sports, obviously you try to win but building resilience to obstacles and teamwork skills are more important long term than whether the team was .500 or .750 win percentage. After all one person or one coach can only control so much. Im extremely competitive personally, I've snapped ping pong paddles in half playing on lunch break at work, I hate losing. But anyone hyper focused on wins and losses in youth sports is missing the forest for the trees.

Reminds me of my BIL who worked with a guy, last name Goodness. Didn’t matter what his first name was. The nickname was “Oh My”.

Sorry to bore you @Da Boogie Man. Looking forward to your gripping and engrossing participation.

    Good Afternoon everyone :hattip:

They are going okay. Been a tough summer with some person family issues. But it’s on swing up!!!
This new mill is doing great. Now I need to start messing with macros and ect to implement more process improvements and reliability.
Yeah. The little dude hangs out on Monday’s and Fridays when he is not in school. He really likes pressing the cycle start button. Lol

8 cord of tree length firewood here is $1320. For my place all I have to do is cut, split, and stack, (about a months worth of work) and it’ll heat the house for about 3-4 years. The sad thing is I still have to buy oil for our domestic hot water. :annoyed:
