I’m guessing he totaled it. Would love others thoughts as they are in limbo through the weekend. I feel like 100% insurance will call it totaled. Luckily he was fine through it, other than being a dumbass, but he was a dumbass before that. However without a wheel it was able to reverse out of the yard to a point the insurance flatbed could take it. So I was impressed even at this point it could pull itself out back into the street.

Only his insurance adjuster knows for sure, but yeah I think it's done for. Glad the boy is OK.

Don't tell us he was texting … A dog jumped onto the road, yeah, that’s it. Did he fess up? Is he going to pay the deductible? Good to hear no one was hurt.
What else did the truck hit? The sign couldn't have done all that damage, did it?

It looks driveable but won't stop or steer that well. I'd say totaled, but somebody will put it back together and be driving it again.

They really need to build fences around those mailboxes to keep them from jumping out in front of vehicles

A well written accident report will shift the entire blame to the home owner who forgot to leash the mailbox... just sayin....
