Reluctantly borrowed this tool/gadget from a neighbor yesterday. This thing kicked ass!! I filled it up 5 times. The drum is about the size of a gallon jug.

 

Well, was planning on pulling the chain saw out and doing the property “walk around”.
That that plan took a shit. Might get a chance to do it later in the day.
I just wish I could be left alone…

 

We have one similar, yes it works great.

 

Fully stock, only used in the fall and spring, wife loves this thing, very relaxing.

 

For the mainah's in here, they won't be surprised by where I am.

Got the GB washed and spray wax applied. Don't be fooled with the shine. I went to remove the running boards. Been wanting to for a while. Started on passenger side (middle bracket first) and thought the bolt was turning, nada, it sheered off. I stopped. Then I noticed some flex towards the back of the running board when pulling down on it. There's rust along a 12" section of the cab/body up behind the pinch weld right where the rear running board mount is. I can see the body moving where it shouldn't be. Ugh. I guess no stepping on the running board. 12 yrs of Maine winters catching up with me. Driver's side seems ok for now. Guess the running boards are staying on for now. I may get it looked at as I'm wanting to keep the GB for a few more years.

Yup. Right along that back edge. They have offered good protection over the years from rock chips from dings on dirt roads. Which is the primary reason I installed them.

Probably not an inexpensive repair as there's a lot of areas that meet together down there.

 

They catch mud too...

Took the Miata in to work today. First time driving it in the dark, holy hell you can't see crap out of this thing.

 

When did you get a Miata?

 

Brought my dad's back up to Maine yesterday from Rhode Island. He's got a winter storage lease up here that is way cheaper than the going rate in RI. He said I was welcome to drive it around for the next few weeks until he comes up for the winter and puts it in storage.
