Yeah, the ring of fire was pretty amazing. We also had hot air balloons up early, and they stayed up for quite a while. Someone was having a hell-uva-time somewhere close to us as they had some loud, Johnny Cash (Burning Ring of Fire) on and were hoopin' and hollerin'. We had unexpected guests and it made for a good time. My wife and her sis, one of the unexpected guests, hooped and hollered too. A fun time.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! How about some nothing today? Sounds good. Absolutely nothing that can't wait for a Monday. We get 3 sunny days in the 70's, then 2 in the 80's!

My youngest son is playing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival today. He's drumming for Morgan Wade. They also perform there last weekend.

    Morning Porch Folks :D.
No rain today. Was up early to help a friend move a piece of furniture to her sons house. Also put the 12' x 12' canopy partially up in the garage to let it dry out from the Grand daughters soccer game yesterday. Got that done and tried repairing the wifes sewing machine (thread in bobbin jamming up) tried but I don't know if I got it until she tries it :fingerscrossed:.
Back outside to put the toneau cover back on and see if the canopy is dried out and pack it up till the next time. When thats all said and done, it's football time

    Have a good day all.

Eagles fan here. I can feel your pain EJ. For years they didnt do anything and the coaches response was "Theres always next year". As for this year, the season isn't over.

Eagles are doing well. Hurts is good. I like how he left Alabama for Oklahoma after Saban made him second string to Tua.

@Oldie2007 enjoyed the pics. Loved the 2 Vettes. Hard to make out the years on them but the hood is the best Vette hood ever. To me 67 with the Tri Power wa the best Vette ever! Yes I am an old fart.

My SIL's cottage is set for the winter. The promised rains were not as bad as predicted but the winds started Saturday afternoon and have not diminished.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/eclipsers. We would have only seen a partial eclipse here but the sky was solid clouds and rain all day, so we had nothing to see anyway. Rain was supposed to continue through today but instead it cleared out and we have decent weather -- chilly though.

I've been a temporary bachelor this weekend as SWMBO is spending a few days watching after her daughter's critters while they visit our granddaughter at college. It's her first year, and she's many hours from home, but she seems to be handling it just fine. She's a good kid.

I managed to forget to get the Tacoma inspected -- again! We just don't use it very often and it stays in a remote garage. "Out of sight out of mind". Now we're gathering wood to split for the stove, and we're using the truck a lot, and, oops! It's not legal.

I started the thread 12 years ago. A lot of folks have passed through in that time and there are a few old timers still here from the start. All in all, a. Great group.

The Jets defence played a helluva game and the Eagles offense couldn't get it together. Hopefully the Eagles learned a good lesson today.
