TEC || Ardbeg Fall Trail Cleanup October 13 - 15, 2023

The Czar usually does some crazy rain fire dance so there's still time

 

Alright, we're just a day away from what appears to be fantastic weather this weekend!

As per tradition, SOTEC will be supplying garbage bags (blue for cans/recycling and transparent for waste), gloves (available in L and XL sizes), picks, and buckets for collecting glass/sharp objects.

Here's the plan for Saturday:

We will kick off at 9 AM with a trail cleanup, splitting into the groups mentioned below. Please make sure to separate recycling and waste; it'll make it much easier for me to handle at the transfer station later. Then, it's off to the trails!

@tacoma16 will be arriving after 1 PM on Saturday with the ham and buns for everyone. We should have dinner ready, sweet bottle of Ardbeg and a big fire going after 6 PM till last person standing. Make sure to have some kind of a container where I can pour you the drink!

@Tacoguayaco and myself are planning to head up there from King City somewhere around 6:00PM. We are going to be entering from the south trail for some night wheeling action.

 

Planning to leave KW at around 3:30-4pm. Probably going to be at Barrie On-Route around 5:30-6pm. Anyone wants to meet up there or further north (Parry Sound)? I was thinking of filling up at Gibson's or Wolf Energy.

im leaving 2 or 3pm from pelham. gotta swing by hammertown for stuff. I dont have an exact ETA but i should be around that 5-6pm mark for Barrie or King onroute.

 

Having brunch in Barrie. Should be airing down at Loggers around 2:30.

 

leaving ottawa shortly after 5pm, will probably be at camp around 1030-11, sorry if I wake anyone up on the way in lol

most memorable thing someone saying "F*** no I'm not going down there" refering to a wrong turn that I took.

I have been to the tracks and had a long train just sitting there but never a live one going by, very cool.

For those asking about my grill ^. It’s coated steel, not cast iron (oops) but it’s really well made. No warping even after that milwaukee powered fire

Thanks everyone for coming out. Just heard from @Norilsk and @Trdtacosauce, they just dumped all the garbage and are heading out. Also thanks to Anthony for the Ham. I think everyone was able to get a sandwich which is awesome!

Lots of things cleaned up, trucks got dirty, wood got burned. Good times.
