    I hope it helps

adding the filtered and baffled res, the extra 12oz of capacity, and synthetic fluid is about all I can do besides changing the pump or box. I've been running plain ISO32 and the system builds a ton of heat even after adding a cooler.

I have a turned up pump on the shelf that I need a bracket/pulley for but this needed to be done first anyways

I got it hot enough to melt the gasket on my stainless res last trip lol

it does, I have a quart sized overflow bottle off of the top of the res that is vented. The fluid got hot enough that the seal on the resi itself melted and was leaking. I put a couple wraps of duct tape around the top and made it through the last day of wheeling without it leaking but the tape was melted by the end lol

Very bucolic place for it to decide it needed a break.
(Makes the case for keeping an emergency book in the seat/door pocket though)

If I had to guess the box needs a rebuild. It's the only component that hasn't been replaced at least once. I've just never touched it because it doesn't leak and _shouldnt_ typically cause this kind of problem lol

Gone through multiple pumps/resis, rebuilt the ram, replaced lines already

Maybe I'll dig a 120mm fan out and wire it up to the steering cooler lol

Does the old 22R have a radiator shroud still. Getting it to pull air through all the coolers might help if it doesn't
