i'm not familiar with that brand specifically. but wafer lights in general are growing in popularity because they just plain fit everywhere. just watch for keeping to main brands(had a contractor complain about the cost of ours, insisted on Amazon alphabet bulk packs, then got 45 out of 200 duds, the original brand no longer existed, and the project was 2 years from the original order, so he was stuck with them), and if you've got a lot of them, buy at least 4 extra for parts for later.

personally, i'm closely watching for toughbuilt's products release. current pre-production info indicates it will be an extremely strong packout contender, though no pricing has been offered yet.

Think it’s possible to chip them out without causing issue to the wall?

i can't definitively speak on how someone assembled something that many years ago, but typically, if done right, that red layer of brick is just a facia, so cutting or alteration to any part of it will have no effect. normally, there'd be less-attractive brick behind it doing the actual structural lifting.

I found a Western red cedar lumber distributor about an hour and a half away, I got some lumber for the hand rails and horizontal railings.
    (spindles?)

It smelled SO good inside of that building!

I will next time, I will probably pickup $150 worth of cedar dust.

I almost didn't do it after getting the prices. I love the smell of the cedar, so I "justified" it by using that as an excuse. I'm sure that the SS screws won't be cheap, either.

Don't know if I would have admitted that...

I live right across the border in Franklin County, PA, work in Hagerstown. I avoid it at all possible...

Definitely past tense! Made the jump to the better side of the Potomac before heading out west. Hagerstown is an absolute hell whole.

It's Little Baltimore now with all the public housing going up now adays. They're trying to clean up downtown, but are fighting an ongoing battle.

That's what I've heard. We moved to Boonsboro in '86 and Hagerstown was awful back then.

The western red cedar distributor is in Cecil county not too far from Conowingo dam. I grew up in Baltimore, I swore I'd never come back after leaving for the Marine Corps in '86 and going to San Diego. I'm at a point where I'm always looking for work out west to make this place a fading speck in the rear view mirror.

San Diego is a cool place, we spent three years in Oceanside when we first moved out west in 2018.

    Couple small things today...

Finally picked up some furnace cement to re-seal the oil furnace vent going into the chimney. Doesn't look near as good as @Sig45's job, but it's sealed.

Been needing to also change the oil filter. I haven't done it since I moved in. Whoever decided to run it so low to the ground can suck it!

To my surprise the filter that came out of there looked brand new! Apparently the previous owner must have gotten it serviced before they went into hospice care.

I went with a regular style filter, not the felt type.

Installed a new door seal kit on the front door. I need a new front door as the old wood one is starting to separate and the bottom seal is rotten from water and termites. But, in the mean time I can at least try and reduce the draft.

Last on the list is something you all might find silly. We get some pretty good winds here in the Fall, Winter, and early Spring. Well apparently it likes to throw my grill off the back patio. A couple D-Rings, 3" 5/16 Tapcon's, and a large ratchet strap should keep it on there...
