    I had a friend that let a Shelby GT500 go to waste that way. Blew the motor up and parked it behind his body shop for years. Unbeknownst to him until it was too late It was scavenged and all the good pieces were stolen off it. I always thought it was a clone but he insisted it was real. Either way a waste. This was back in the 1980’s.
