Hitting a deer does a hell of a lot of damage as you've seen. Glad you're ok, truck can be fixed. I've been fortunate, I live in an area where we have lots of deer, I've had one bad and one minor accident with deer. The bad one was in '96, I was doing 60mph in a full size pickup, hit deer head on, it jumped out of the woods right in front of me, didn't even have time to react. Did around $5500 in damages back than. I was lucky it was a small deer, otherwise it probably would have come through the windshield.

I hope you get your truck fixed very quickly.

Saw this last week except it was 1 and then a heard of 15-20 and then 3 more after a slight pause. Everyone just dead stopped and nothing was hit fortunately. Literally came out of the bushes, they’re moving a lot on calmer days now that hunting season started

Herculiner rear bumper chrome delete. i was nervous taking a rattle can to my nice, new truck, but am very happy with how it turned out. I just masked around it, and laid on 4 light coats. Pro tip: Goo Gone will easily remove overspray. Wiped right off the paint. Once I cleaned the plastic step top, the color match looked almost exact.

I washed the truck this weekend, finally.
While cleaning the interior this cover came off.
Does anyone have the part no. for these clips?
Please and thank you so much.

Rarely does the first one get you.. it’s 40MPH around my rural home this time of year after 4PM, same in the morning until 9 ish… pretty sure there’s a deer carcass on the side of the road about every 2 miles here in NEPA.. it will get progressively worse as we move two wards the rut..

Not today but yesterday I swapped out my manual transmission fluid to Redline MT-90 from what I presume was stock fluid. Seems to feel better/sound better on a 5 mile test drive to me.

My experience is the opposite. I've had the damn things attack my vehicles from the side ditches and you don't see them until they hit the vehicle and are on your hood or windshield.

Just a suggestion, before you re-attach the cover, cover the holes with some electrical tape and then cut a small slit in the tape. This should keep them from falling inside the door cavity the next time you remove the cover.

Empty the vacuum cleaner, then vacuum out the inside door area after removing the full panel, if you want to.

The other advice on re-installing those clips is to attach first to the panel instead of the door. Since the friction against the door-panel is what pushes them inside, get that over with first.

@WaitingOnMyR1T has the correct PN for the trim clips. These go on the front door triangle trim as well as the rear DC doors (not sure about AC). Having removed the door panels multiple times as @RichochetRabbit said, the best option is to remove any clips left in the door and attach the them directly to the trim piece(s), then pop them back on. That way you're not trying to force the trim back into the clip itself... which often leads to them falling back inside the door. :annoyed: Don't ask me how I know this. :anonymous:

Nothing fancy but I got tired of having to wipe my glasses in the am because of water splashing :crapstorm:. Installed some rain guards// cleaned her up nice on a beautiful Sunday morning. Nothing fancy again but put on a license plate cover to prevent any type of rust on anything. Blessed days fellas :spam::welder:
