Might have problems having a dead TRS(EXP) plugged into one of your effects.
It might affect a parameter or audio output of the effect.

Ahhh. that makes sense. adds to my apprehension regarding purchasing a unit to achieve this. I am beginning to lean more towards " manually swap the jack" rather than have the active capacity to switch. hmmmmm

If you have a TRS plug/cable, you could test them and see if anything would be affected.

If you find yourself looking at the Mission Engineering pedal again...I can't recommend their stuff enough.
I have one for my Boss Katana and one for my Line 6 Stomp XL.

I ended up with the M-audio. it works great and actually feels very nice under foot. As far as Mission goes, I was looking at their switch https://missionengineering.com/shop/expressionator/ which is intended specifically for the purpose I was inquiring about. Its 250+$ though. I hear great things about Mission, but I am trying to have "one pedal to rule them all" hahahaha

If my username doesn't give it away, some people are here more for the "off-topic" forums than the actual truck forums. TW is way more active than nearly every other forum.

I just saw Last in Line. I was quite spirited to see Vivian playing his 1983 LP straight into his Engl. The only effect was his Cry Baby was. His tone was great! Not to mention his playing.

I'd be playing Scorpions covers on that rig...eta: the Explorer and Marshall you quoted; not the Irisman's rig.

So, unbeknownst to all here, I've been on the hot scent of PRS Silver Sky SE. I've already got a 2005 CE22 that I'm not looking to replace so a Core SS is not required. Found one that I was prolly gonna pull the trigger on this week. However, I got into the PRS space (pre my CE22 acquisition 3 yrs ago) with a snatched outta my hands at acquisition of a late 90s Swamp Ash Special. So fast forward to now...I was today years old when I discovered the release of PRS SE Swamp Ash Special for 2024.

Pulling the chute on the SS hunt, now this will be my next stick

I have the original PRS Swampash guitars that they made in early 2000's. The one I got was purchased in 2002 for just under $2K. Freaking love the versatility of tones the guitar offers.

unfortunately, during a gig this past weekend, while the guitar was sitting on its stand a big gust of wind came and blew it over onto asphalt...she got beat up pretty good. I just placed it the case, said a few good cuss words and have yet to open it back up to really assess how bad the damage is.... for an extra kick in the nuts, my 1998 PRS CE24 went over too...did not get beat up as bad the Swampash....great way to start a gig....:annoyed:

Im curious as to how these new Swampash guitars stand against the originals. Im sure its probably comparable...
