I know very little about car audio.

I'd like to keep the install as clean looking as possible, and don't mind spending a bit more for a nice final product.

Can anyone give me some advice for the best way to be able to get Sirius/XM in my truck?

Do you want to buy a new HU as well? Depends on if your factory set-up is Sirius/XM ready ... If it is then you'll simply need to purchase the Sirius or XM adapter and install it.

Both systems cost less than $100 on Amazon.com

I put an Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT in my wife's 4Runner and installed the Sirius adapter as well ... I should have done the XM one because Sirius doesn't support all of the cool artwork like XM does ... I simply bring this up because you should really do your homework before you decide which company to go with ... They're basically the same, but may not perform the same on the HU that you currently have, or the one you'll purchase.

PM if you need more specifics ...

Does your truck have the sat antenna on the roof? If it does it's prewired for the Toyota kit.

I would put in a usa spec ipod connector and use the aux input on the usa spec harness for a xm/sirius reciever, which ever you like. That way you can take it from vehicle to vehicle or inside not to mention you also get an ipod hookup...

I do have the AM/SAT button so does that mean it's pre-wired/ready to go?

Like this. Maybe Black too, most 2011 weren't color keyed.

Shoot, nope no antenna. So what do I need now besides the links above? Any aftermarket antenna that you'd recommend? Thanks again!

I am not the most mechanically/electrically inclined person at all. Would you say I'm better off printing the instructions and bringing them to a local car audio place and letting them install it?

    Or is worth trying myself?
