It's good info, if nothing else to put one on alert. With all the people being let into the country, crime has skyrocketed.

Agree on the too old for this shit part but unfortunately because of the age bracket it makes us more of an (so then they think) easy target. But being prepared is a plus :infantry:.

It should be some good information. As I tell folks, "Fail to plan, Plan to fail". Always be prepared  because you never know whats coming down the pike . As you said Murray, "With all the people being let into the country, crime has skyrocketed." and the police can't always be near. I'll see how it goes and post later.

Well, sh^t! Covid shot side effect? Guy parked his big Ram so close on passenger side, I had to back almost straight out. Contractor behind left his gate down to get propane, and it disappeared from my camera just long enough...

Hammer and block at least gets the cavern out. The bottom is not possible for me, and damaged on the seam. Guess I'll be shopping...

OUCH Kurt. That hurt me seeing it as much as it hurt you when it happened. Like Chuck said "Don't really like but there's no "dislike" button." and I agree.

Exactly Buck. The Chief of police told the community that alarm systems are good but by the time it goes off and the officer gets the call and arrives it could be many minutes. Best to be prepared :infantry:. But too many anti-gun folks rely on the police being "Johnnies on the Spot" (and not a porto-potty):D. It just doesn't work that well.

And, "I missed it by that much!"! Front and rear are both Dv8 knockoffs of Arb designs, from when they were the "cheap E-Bay bumpers". Thick and heavy they are!

And you found us? Who squealed?

Welcome, and that cooler over there....?

Well, this little "oops" does sort of resolve the "to paint or not" issue. The original, more orangey on the sides is a multi-part that's being phased out. The more red on the hood (which matches current rattle cans formula) is the modern formula, so, if I want to match at any point past this, it will be the new mix. So given I will have a black primer tailgate to do as well,....................... one color it is in a couple few weeks.

This is how I respond to an active shooter. Went to the range today. The target represents 8 10 round magazines rapid fire at 25’. All under 2 minutes. Glock 19 9mm. In California 10 round magazines are the largest capacity you can legally possess. I do the best I can with what I got.
I brought several other guns today but the 19 is my favorite go to gun. Here’s a pic of what I brought along today. The one lower right is very special to me. It is a Walther ppk 32. My father in law took that from a German officer prisoner of war in WW2. He never talked about the war much. I think he he would happy knowing I still occasionally use it.
Well now I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning guns and listening to old time rock n roll. And after the guns are cleaned and in the safe I’ll kick back on the patio with a wee dram of Kentucky bourbon.

Excellent shooting Ken. It's a shame you can't get larger mags out there. I need to get out to the range and practice but because of the back I have been lacking the ambition to do so. That is a nice collection you have there as well especially the Walther from your FIL. A lot of memories there. Most WW II vets didn't talk about the war. My Dad never did and the closest he ever got was towing the disabled boats off of Utah beach and if salvagable back to England for repair. I guess each handled their time in service differently back then.

The program was put on by 2 FBI agents with videos and slide show. It was interesting and they explained how folks even seniors can handle different situation. The three options are (and only if you can):
    1) Escape- If there is a safe route to go.
    2) Hide- If you can't get out, look for a reasonably safe place to hide (if available)
    3) Fight- As a last resort and only if your life is in imminent danger.
They outlined different things one might do or look for in each of the steps.
They did mention if you have a CCW and without putting other people in harms way (if they are between you and the shooter with no clear shot) to use it to stop the threat then either holster the pistol or put it on the ground and put your foot on it and put both hands up so the police know that you are not a threat to them. I enjoyed the program.
