Finally got around to swapping the mirrors. Some of the wiring I'm going to leave for a later project, as I don't have time, but at least everything is there. Still saving up for some diode dynamics fog lights and a nicer skid plate.

This place has treated me pretty well over the years, the anti-stealership. They're warrantying my cv axles because the boots ripped again which I'm pretty sure is because of the lift I have on it.

So Toyota discontinued our CV axles and remans are 95 units on back order what's the next best option for replacements? I do plan on rebuilding mine but I can't have my truck down that long.

    Seriously? Toyota discontinued 05 - 08 Tacoma CV-Axles?
So, you can’t buy them new anymore?

Discontinued or was superseded with a new part number?

Just looked at a couple places and it shows it as available. Cause if its discontinued I'm ordering a couple for spares.

Replaced the front brake calipers as the front driver side had a frozen piston as well as new brake pads. Also did a brake fluid flush. Upcoming will be a coolant flush as I think my trucks been running a little warm (about 193*) even with the cooler temps as well as an oil and filter change and new wipers.

I think my V6 truck has always run between 190 and 195, 193 seems normal especially with the stock thermostat.

JBA UCAs and Bilstein 5160s came today. I can't wait to get these put on soon. My first thought when I grabbed one of the UCAs out of the box was how massive they are. Second thought was the quality. These JBA HD UCAs are top notch and the customer service/emails that I received from the time of purchase to arrival was unmatched by anything that I've ever bought before. I'll update with pictures once installed.

Reason 999 to buy an ARB bumper:

A deer ran out in front of my truck tonight, hit it dead center, and not so much as a scratch on my ARB or on the truck for that matter.
I do feel bad for the deer, and I wish it hadn’t of happened, but the ARB just paid for itself.
I’ve only had the ARB for one year, and the reason I bought it in the first place was because a deer decimated my stock front end last year.

I'm looking at those control arms too, I can't decide if I need high caster, or standard caster though.

What did you choose, and why?

Fair enough. I understand a little bit of loyalty...but at the same time, if it's something I can do myself for (not $100/hr. labor charge) "free", then I will do that.

But I do understand. I'm glad you found somewhere you trust...that's getting harder and harder these days.

I hit a deer too a couple nights ago on the way home from work. Super lucky it was small and only cracked the lower right corner of my bumper. Managed to find all my plastic trim pieces and put it back together with some zipties. Good excuse to buy a steel bumper once I can afford it lol. Free venison for now at least

They're both high caster. One is just more heavy duty than the other.

Edit: I should add there is a standard caster with standard frame build but I'm honestly not sure why someone would want that other than for aesthetics. I opted for the heavy-duty high caster because why not.

Last two days: Spider trax 1.25” spacers, 31” Wildpeak at3w tires, new sway bar end links, sway bar drop kit, alignment and greased the drive shafts…
The wheel spacers gave me more room between the inside wall of tires and UCAs (no rubbing on wheel well at full turn). Sway bar drop kit gave me more space between sway bar and coils. Tires are just past fenders/mud flaps and the stance looks way better with taller/wider rubber. Drives straight as an arrow and road noise from the more aggressive tread is minimal. Love this truck.
