Opinions on dipping gas flap?

Yes? No?

I was staring out my window at my truck thinking what else I could do and thought of plasti-dipping the gas flap.... Figured it just peel off if I didn't like it.

Opinions?

 

just do it post pics and do a poll ......i couldnt tell you cause ive never seen it done yet

 

For your truck, I would do black and see how it looks. Won't hurt anything and like you said, just peel it off if you don't like it.

Only bad thing I can think is that the flap isn't very big compared to the rest of the side of the truck so a little black square might look strange....but won't know if you don't do it.

I say go for it and just peel off if you don't like it.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking, maybe up close would look cool. But from far away could look pretty lame. Black square like you say

 

Just cover it with a little electical tape first before you do anything. If you like it contiue with paint, if not you didn't waste much time.

 

Electrical tape would probably be harder to peel off than Plasti-dip. Ha.

Just try it and peel it off if you don't like it.

I voted YES, not because i like or dislike the idea, I voted yes based on the type of truck you have, black bumpers, mirrors, door handles. On this style of Tacoma it might not look to bad.

 

I plasti-dipped my dog but I didn't like the look, so I just peeled it off and he's good as new. This stuff sure is the shit...

 

You should try electrical tape .

 

Do they make electrical tape in a spray can now?
