Pro would have to have an exclusive engine option to be in the same marketing class as Raptor, regardless of how the Pro's engine compares to the Raptor's.

You may think that. Toyota thinks the hybrid powertrain is sufficiently distinguishing. In a way they're right - nobody else in the segment offers it.

First I heard of it if they were, thats one of the biggest complaints with Toyota is that you can't order it like a Ford/Chevy/Ram. Thats one of the reasons I take their configurator with a grain of salt.

Thats also the reason that depending on your zip code and where you are when you do go into the Toyota configurator you can't see everything available they will restrict it depending on what the distributor in your area has decided to carry etc. Not to mention the different packages available depending on what distributor /area you buy it in. Like the predator or XP package for example from Southeastern Toyota.

I am surprised there is no engine cover over the motor. Some OEM's claim they help with noise but the way that motor is presented reminds me of how I kept my dorm room in college.

Thats exactly what I did with my 3rd gen when I had it. Even the salesman at the dealership was like "don't waste the money on the Pro, just get an OR and spend the savings on things you want".

I specifically when in to look at a Pro they had on the lot and drove out with an OR.

AFIK, the distributor in my area (19342) isn't that bad...at least not as bad as the one down south that I keep hearing about.

Same here with a 16 OR. And it was far more of a truck than a stock pro and at the time, I did it for less than a Pro out the door.

Your best chance of getting the truck you want would probably be to keep an eye on your distributors website for the inventory that the distributor is actually carrying.

The Iso Seats will be standard on the Pro. If they were an option, they would be "Available".

Especially when you consider that there was no Pro available in 2016.

No. If Toyota offered the fancy seats as, say a $2k option, nobody would opt for it. It's a party trick feature that distinguishes the Pro as a "hardcore" trim for people that value performance over practicality. It's like the rear chassis brace in the GR Corolla.

Are you sure it’s not to prevent the seat shaking that happens when a tire/wheel or driveshaft isn’t balanced or causing a vibration…

    Hell no!

Toyota make great stuff but it's 2024 and their trucks are still behind, still cost more than everyone else. Make no sense to me. What doesn't make any more sense is people willing spend more to get not as much on these 2nd & 3rd gen's.

Agreed. Really cool stuff but very wasteful. I like the feedbacks from the driveshaft and tire/wheel too.

Seems to me Toyota is going to get a lot of negative feedback if they are required. I can see making them an available option, but mandatory?

The Pro Bros will still love them. Imagine how smooth the speed bumps at the mall will be…like butter.

100%. In all honesty they might work really well… everyone judging them b4 anybody has a clue. Gotta love the fact everyone won’t bat an eye at paying way too much for an overpriced mid size truck trim to “look the part”, but then when there is actually a feature on the trim that serves its intended purpose everyone acts like it shouldn’t be there. Just buy a different trim lol. If you TRULY need the capability of a PRO, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want the gyroscopic seats (assuming they work as advertised).
