That makes sense. Anecdotally it really doesn't take a lot to improve the feel of the rear end of the Tacoma. Before I went full SUA I ran Archive's cross tube and it made a huge difference so I can only imagine how nice a full box and cross feels.

There’s a lot to be desired from Tacoma frames. They are very flimsy and flex a lot.

Flexy frames give the mid travel bro’s extra suspension after bottoming out

It’s a bit trickier to navigate the rocks with dirt king spring under kitIMG_2794.png

It’s the dirt king kit. It’s not to bad in the rocks but it’s definitely something to pay attention to

This has nothing to do with spring under.

Your right I will fix it. It more to do with the dirt king spring under kit as a whole

Yeah that kit looks really good and way better for the rocks. honesty I don’t play in the rocks all that much anymore. Of course if keep running into issues it’s always an option that or links.

Linking is not the only way to get rid of it; getting rid of the inverted shackle works for getting rid of the mount. JD Fab’s sua does @snowsk8air2 ‘s custom shackles also have done it - before 2nd gens pretty much all 1st Gen trucks were this way minus ones running the 64” giant kit.

Most rock crawlers prefer a SOA layout - it’s funny because old forums for rock crawlers have all the guys going from sua from the factory to SOA for better under axle clearance. Canoe links may not be the silver bullet for clearance in the rocks either. Ah well. Who wants to rock crawl when you can :bikewhoops: all day in the desert anyway j/k

JD’s SUA looks like the best of both worlds for the most part. For someone interested in the rocks and the whoops, it’s certainly a worthwhile trade IMO.

A long shot… but any chance you guys would sell your fuel cell mount / box kit as just the frame box kit ?

Sorry no because they are all laser cut as complete kits. If you want a box only kit I would recommend the DMZ one, they make great products and Tim is a great guy.

I appreciate the sentiment of this comment but it did get to me, early this morning I had to check wikipedia.

The 1gr has not appeared in any minivan, and apparently is still shipping in both the 300 and 70 series land cruisers.

I have always thought v6s were kind of silly. So far I am pleased with it and I like the way it sounds.
