Clean the surfaces near the leak (weep) with brake clean: get it spotless. Apply what ever sealer is the best money can buy (search through here) and apply it above, on and below the leak. Smooth it out with your clean finger. People have fixed weeping timing cover leaks in here with good success using this method. Let it sit overnight.

I would use JB Weld or epoxy putty. No one will ever know. If you do a good job cleaning the surfaces, it probably will remain dry for the next 50,000 miles.
(and it didn't cost $9,000) :pccoffee:

I’d live with it. My 05 weeps a small bit, but has 218k miles and doesn’t lose oil between changes. Sucks that such a new truck has probs like this. Looks like I need to avoid a 3rd gen

    Not worth the worry

Do it. Odds are high it will be fine. Or he will want something else. Regardless what they say today.

I don't have that skill, but sounds like a great plan.

And another piece of evidence why 3 party warranties are not recommended. Too much small print loopholes. Sorry you had to find yours.

Those were usually gasket issues that were pretty simple to fix by modern standards

It's a 2016 so, first model year. The head doesn't seem to be a common issue though.

All engines leak eventually, I am 64 and I leak. Would do nothing about either unless one of us left puddles

I’m sitting here wondering how much it would cost to stick a long block in this thing?!?!?
