TPAM vs DMM

DMM is Digital Multi Meter.
TPAMM is... Toilet Paper Ass Maintenance Module.

Is the phone holder that comes as an option on the DMM decent? I know a ram mount is better, just wondering if the dmm holder is good as well.

 

Just installed my DMM today. I’ll use it for (left side) #1 ball phone mount (magnetic). #2 on central portion a Garmin Overlander GPS. #3 the right side of the mount a phone mount for my wife’s phone.

LOL, purely my fault I overtightened the wingnut for 1” arm mount for the Overlander GPS and busted it (no jokes on busting your nut)…will look at a 1/4-20 wingnut as a simple replacement…not as fancy as their wingnut, but is a cheap solution

DMM= Digital Multi Meter. It's been so for the past 30 years or so.
but who can control the kids these days? They can make stuff up and expect an entire generation to just piss off!

 

3TPAM is $130 now directly from Expedition Essentials. I just received mine w/ USB-C. It’s replacing my Expedition Essentials Track Mount(similar in function to the DMM but w/ a much sturdier mounting system - it utilizes metal brackets fastened to the radio bolts behind the bezel), which I’ve been running for several years and is perfectly fine, but I just got sick of looking at 3ft USB cables running from my 12v outlet.

EE also gives discounts to vets, so I got about $15 knocked off.

I can NOT believe I didn't know this.........so obvious, and so connected to the DMM .

I feel ashamed and humiliated.

Installed the 3TPAM today. MUCH better than just the DMM or Track Mount from Expedition Essentials. Easily 2x as sturdy & having power @ your mount w/ short cables is worth the extra cost & install time.
