nope, its a shiny boi with all the blue and yellow quality check marks.

I can wiggle the pinion by hand at the rack for all the play I feel in the wheel.

still haven't had time to pop out the rack guide for a looksie

Bought another camper in better shape. Is for an extended cab but I plan to make it work this winter with a little modding.

Shouldn't this be covered under the parts warranty?

Has anyone tried updating the steering rack guide on a rebuilt/ aftermarket rack? Mine isn't stamped toyoda and i'm not sure when it was replaced, but sometime prior to me buying the truck 5 years ago. I just replaced the OTRs and rack bushings, going to order a new rag joint, but was wondering if it's worth updating to the new style guide or if it's throwing money away and I might as well get an OEM rack w/ new guide included? I plan on keeping the truck for a long time.

I recognize that shop, say hi to Brent! Did you do any pulls not through the snork?

Got my passenger seat and rear header back from the upholstery shop with leather covering and heated seat inserts.

tomorrow the little jump seats will be done and next week they will take in the driver seat.

yeah, a little pucker on one of the seat panels but that’s ok for the reasonable price I paid for the labor. I’m not going to a Barrett Jackson auction with it. LOL

this is the shop in Appleton that did my work

Brent was cool as hell. Loved the truck. Blew up my ego big time.
The snork ran 1 pull to confirm that the silicone hose that connected it to the turbo collapses at 7lbs. All other pulls were without. I'll have to fabricate an aluminum connection in its place.

That's awesome dude! Brent is wholesome as hell, maybe the coolest guy in motorsports.

I wondered if the necking down to to 3" pipe plus the long length and subsequent squished portions would be a restriction on the intake side. I have a big ol filter clamped right to the turbo inlet because of that. That's still a really strong number at that altitude. I'm hoping to get some numbers in January, I did some work for our local dyno guy and he owes me now. But trying to get the other Haltech taco guys to come make some pulls too so we can all tweak our tunes too. I'm at 12psi at 2200', certainly feels spicy and I'm pretty sure I've slipped my clutch that's good to 375ft lbs.

Thats exactly what's happening. I'm just gonna pop it off and make that hose section out of aluminum. Cut the oval section and use it to seal it all up.

    12lbs on stock internals?
That's nuts. I've got an exedy clutch but to be fair I don't know the specs on it. I can't wait to see how it pulls in the mountains though.

I've got 10.7lb springs at milehigh. Makes me wish I put heavier springs in given the altitude lol

Given any thought to making the snork pipe all yourself out of 4"? Less restriction before the turbo the better, more flow less boost ya know?

12lbs on stock innards is getting close to what I think the limit is but you and I both know the reason it's doable is because of the Haltech. Being able to pull timing out at peak torque and control my whole boost curve and timing curve together while having all the fuel necessary is why 12lbs isn't a sketchy tune. I don't bring it in hard down super low for the same reason. That said I know it can take a bit more because my control point offset for boost control lets it peak at 14psi and then taper to the 12psi steady I have programmed. I'm running a 2.5lb spring but I have a 4 port solenoid setup so I put pressure to the top of the gate to keep it closed, gives me more range. But since I go to the middle of nowhere I wanted the option to run 87 in a pinch and turning down to 2.5psi with 3* of timing knocked out of the map makes that possible.

Have you played with quick spool yet, if not you might want to in the future cause DAMN for us single turbo guys it helps it light up like a supercharger.

Making some good progress on the "Many" things that need attention on my 03 DC. My neighbor and I installed my new rotors and ceramic brake pads today. Hoping to Bed the brakes tomorrow or Saturday. It's supposed to rain Friday, so we'll see what happens. Next up, we'll check the rear brakes, and then it's time for the valve cover job. I hope to get that one done before "Winter".

What a nightmare that would be. Imagine doing 65-70 on the interstate, or even 45 and this happens. You'd be lucky to survive. I tell my neighbor all the time, preventive maintenance is the only way to go. I would rather replace a worn out part, then wait for it to break. But that's just me.

From what I've read here on TW. The moog ones don't last very long if you drive "Off road". Buy Genuine Toyota lower ball joints and be done with it. I bought both upper and lowers from McGeorge Toyota and glad I did.
