The Ranger Raptor's 10-speed will shift more in the 1/4 mile, but it'll probably get a better launch with the KO3s than the Pro's fake MT tires. Pretty much every Toyota ever made has been let down by the OEM tires.

What does that even mean? What can a Pro do that an Offroad can’t?

I think it's funny that the Ranger Raptor gets mentioned here and the response skips the Ranger part of the Raptor, goes right to the real Raptor, then TRX's and cybertrucks get pulled into the argument lol.

    And then:

Higher speed desert off-roading. It comes equipped with internal bypass 2.5 fox shocks for a reason.

Like what? 2 mph faster? It’s just some shocks. It doesn’t have a long travel suspension setup. Installing some Fox shocks doesn’t suddenly turn it into a trophy truck.

Stupid argument. Turning a taco into a real long travel setup will set you back way more $$$ than it cost to buy a pro. If you think a 2 mph difference is all that changes between a nice internal bypass setup and the stock trd off-road then you have very little experience wheeling. Those shocks will handle all off-road terrain much better than stock. Suspension travel isn’t the only characteristic that makes a shock good off-road. Heat dissipation, rebound control, bottom out resistance are all better on a nicer setup. There’s a massive difference between the stock budget shocks and the ones equipped on the pro, let alone an even nicer setup like the bilstein 8112/8100 series on my truck.

I highly doubt it. Just pre hype to get folks in the door or on the phone.

Add is a little misleading as it says Toyota with a picture of a Tacoma. It may not even include 24 Tacoma’s. Maybe just other 24 models.

145 Toyotas total available to this dealer including Corollas and RAV4s. Toyota's supply chain shortages continue.

Someone mentioned needing the capability of the Pro. I don't know if any body needs what capability the Pro offers, if they do that would be a small minority. I"m sure many people could make great use of the Pro's features.

Why not go full halo truck if you need those features, those are also 90-150k trucks OTD. Rivian and Lightning are around 90k, Cyber Truck has to be right up there in pricing, and once you get into the plaid version of a CT it's going to approach the $200k threshold.

There's also talk of 3.0 valve issues with the Ranger Raptor.

Anyone can put better shocks on any vehicle. What is this necessary capability of the Pro you are arguing? If someone really wants to do high speed desert driving then they should be buying a Raptor or a side by side not a Tacoma with some fox shocks and a special paint color. Oh and some bouncy seats too. :D

Or a Cyber truck with 14" of suspension travel, but you're going to need more range bouncing across the desert. I doubt if any is looking at a BEV truck to run in the desert.

Notice how there is no mention of Tacoma's specifically other than the photo? It's click bait to get you to click on the ad and on their website. Speaking as someone who works in digital marketing in the auto aftermarket world, this is a common trick used.
