soak up butt squish. I'd happily buy the better shocks and seats, just for driving through these hellhole of streets we call city roads around here; that is, if they didn't take up the entire back passenger legroom.

Do you really want your seats/body bouncing around independently of the rest of the cab? Seems like it will make it hard to read GPS, texts, etc.

??? Your head doesn't bounce around at the same rate and in sync with the truck/nav screen. Think of a gimbaled compass on a boat, it's easier to read when it gets choppy. I'd rather have my body not bouncing around than a gimbaled nav screen.

I guess it depends on how much these seats actually move.

Why does anybody need a Pro? Why does anybody need a Ferrari/Porsche/Corvette? To take advantage of the 195mph top speed or 1.1 lateral Gs?

Why does anyone need Solar Octane or Bronze Oxide? Paint is just needed to prevent rust. All trucks should be black just like Ford made the Model Ts.

The newest photos of the Pro seats make me think a taller person won't be able to have the back seats down in cargo/dog mode (which is how I have my truck most of the time).

I think the point was simply the idea of gimbal/suspension seats make sense on the PRO given what the trim’s use case is intended to be. Whether or not anybody actually “needs” the feature and/or desires to throw their money at it is a different story, but can’t really fault Toyota for including something that is purpose-built for a specific trim’s functionality.

I don’t think this is a discussion about what “people” want or need. It’s a discussion about how “Toyota” thinks we need the bouncy seats by making them standard features on the Pro.

Why do you worry so much about what I think about the truck? We’re allowed to have differing opinions. That’s what makes life interesting.

New video on the Pro and Trail Hunter. When are they actually going to let these guys drive these things? It’s getting ridiculous. Also a fat man sitting in the back seat of the pro around the 19 minute mark.

Is this a real question/stance? You've obviously never driven a vehicle or equipment with air-suspension seats. I absolutely want my body to be as stabilized as possible, independent of what the cabs doing. Seriously though, with your logic, you shouldn't even have suspension or tires on your vehicles...

I assume you are referring to heavy equipment with terrible suspension. I personally don’t want my seat bouncing around. Watch that truck king video. It looks like the seat moves in a reclining motion.

I wouldn't exactly call a 5 ton truck or certain machines vehicles with "terrible suspension". The suspension is purpose built, for that vehicle/equipment, if it even has suspension at all. You could say it rides rough/stiff - thats kinda the entire point of an air-ride seat. I'm referring to a seat that is on an air-suspension system, that can allow for independent movement from the chassis. Its the entire point.. Just as another member said, it stabilizes you, much like a gimble. The point is, yes, many people would love a seat that stabilizes you, even though you wouldn't. Solution, don't buy it.
