    Wow. I wouldn’t even noticed it’s from a Colorado if you hadn’t informed us . Look great . :101010:

I can afford my tacoma, barley afford gas for it, and could afford a 2-3 thousand dollar canopy but there is no way I would spend that much for a canopy that I would be taking on an off all the time. But then again you are obviously in a different tax bracket than me. Op looks good for a truck that you use.

Looks good! I passed up a topper this summer that was off a colorado, because I didn't think it would fit. It was even green that was close to matching my truck, and super cheap to boot. Ugh!

This is the kind of post we used to have 10+ yrs ago. I think we’ve had a shift towards spendy overland gear and have forgotten that not everyone can afford $20k+ in mods. Not that there is anything wrong with people wanting to spend their hard earned cash on their truck, but this is a nice post that I’m sure many will find useful.

Had he not mentioned it was off a Colorado, you most likely wouldn’t have known any better.

Looks nearly identical to the one on mine that is actually for a Tacoma.

Having spent the money on a brand new Leer 100XR which is on and likely will never come off, I can see the value here for some people in this for occasional use. Not for me, but useful information here for some.

    Is it functional? Yes.
Does it look like yours? Sure, if you added an inch length to his so the gap is correct in the front and you changes the side slope to match the cab slope, then yes, it would look good.

I have never believed in blowing smoke up someone's ass just to make them feel better except in an emergency. When my daughter was 12, a softball smacked her nose and she ran up to me, crying and bleeding, and asked if her nose was okay. I said yes. It required a plastic surgeon to make it look normal again. It was torn all to hell. So, I believe in telling the truth, even if it is only my opinion. Somebody has to be real. This world has devolved into some crazy time where A) People accept opinion and fantasy as fact and B) You get in trouble and are ostracized if you tell the truth.

    Check build thread!
Yup, ARE DCU off a 2021 Colorado on my 21 Tacoma. Don’t have it anymore as it was too heavy for me, but it worked.

I don’t think the point is “hey guys what do you think?” As supposed to “here is what works for me in case anyone is wondering what it would look/function like.”

Believe it or not some people don’t stick to OEM. Probably where the negative comments towards your posts are coming from. I mean no offense, just pointing out what is missing from your assumptions (yes, I see the irony on this post).

Great knowledge to have! Thanks for sharing, I’m always looking for a cheap topper and this could be a great help.
Any shots of the gap at the front of the bed by the cab? How’d you attach it?

Oh, I have a beer or two for you. Miller Lite or PBR.
I modded 40 years ago for a long time. Learned the juice was never worth the squeeze.
