Ok I'll give you that your tire calculator say's that a 315/75/17 is 35.6" but is it ? Get out a tape and measure that tire for yourself then see. But most of the guys say their running 16" rims which are only a 34" tire. Not a 35" . Sorry I didn't specify. Plus how much of that do you loose when you drop your air pressure? And some take that too far. But I suppose they like banging their skid plates. I totally get the traction needed for some shit but think about it . I keep forgetting I ran tires most of you never ran. The Original Gumbo Mudder or Ground Hawgs. Mickey Thompson use to make good tire for sand but they sucked in the real Mountains of WA. and Co. It's not always about mud ! There also are rocks and other things you need them for. Most ATs just don't cut it. Put you AT in front of a Gravity box full on wet field. See what happens. Just saying

Thinking this might be a good place to start...64E, South on X. East on G. S on Sawmill Rd.
This is my old stomping grounds. I'm familiar with the area but not the trails or where that hill might be.

Sorry I missed you @bkhlrTaco's .looks like we both ran down some of the same trails, did you come across the Skinned Bear on the dead end off Hwy 64? I ended up over by Elton. My cell service sucks over there. Had to use my off line maps. Here's where we were todayScreenshot_20231021-182841.png Bear was at the turn around at this dead end

A couple darker pickups. Haha yep. That was you.
I wasn't getting too ballsy by myself without a winch and as you mentioned. Little to no reception.
Still managed to get dirty scouting around the backwoods.

I didn't see the dead bear. 5-10 miles straight N of there is where I hunt.
Buddy has 3 bear, coyotes and 3 bucks on trail cam.
Lincoln, Oneida and Langlade is bear country. Actually anything N of 64 is probably bear country. Wolf packs up there as well.
I always CC when out there by myself.
Carry the hand cannon when I hunt. Ruger .44 mag w/ 7" barrel. lol

Do you reload for your 44 mag ? If you do or don't and would like too I have a set of Dies for that. Their old Herters Dies so it shows how long I've been doing it. I don't have my 44 anymore sold it when I got my 10mm. I'd be willing to get rid of them for Free to good homes , lol

I don't, though it's something I've looked into. Bring them along next time. Maybe I can look after them for awhile. :)
My brother does reloading. Had me running around looking for primers, a couple years ago. Couldn't find anything around here for reloading or ammo, 12ga or .223.
    That was about it.
I was hunting for deals online at the time.
