They should be :D But with inflation, anything is possible!!! Let me know when you get it, and if you can stay in Edmonton for a few days while we do it, then it shall be.

I just checked out a new bed cover for my truck today. The roll'n'lock I had installed 13 years ago is breaking down. A new roll'n'lock is $2500. I'm pretty sure I only paid $800 for the one that's on there now.

Yeah anything to cover the bed is pretty middle class these days...

OK so. Story that some of you might find fascinating.

I installed my Ripp coils, Ruth plugs and Red Bullet solenoids. This is what happened.

    Long, labored starts - gone.
Burble (maybe misfire?) At initial idle - gone.
Weird misfiring episodes after I hit jarring bumps - gone.
AFR gauge jumping around like a manic hooker - fixed (I was sure the gauge or sensor had gone bad).

I don't know what to say. This was unexpected. The truck otherwise seems to run fine, although I have the bypass valve ziptied open because water methanol is down for repairs.

So I guess my review of these mods is good...

A fix-all mod? I didn't think that was possible.... especially considering most view those as snake oil

Maybe you dropped a nut into the engine and it knocked everything into shape? Lol

Whatever it is, don't complain when you get it

Just nobody move, and nobody touch anything

Installed the Voltage Booster PRO. Currently on low setting. On startup it was 15.6V, which I will admit made me nervous, but nothing got fried. Leveled out at 14.4V when warm.

15.6v on initial startup is scary bro...

But yeah, 14.2-14.4V when warmed up is what I'm seeing.

RB vvti solenoids are still on my truck! But GL with the RIPPs! Complimentary mods!

(I have the GM diode/fuse thingie)

I decided I like to live on the edge... I'll be taking coils with me on road trips, that's for sure. I have a friend who's been running them for 5 years with no problems, she convinced me to put them on.

Does your truck still require more gas for starts the you thought were due to the cams or is starting more normalized now? Curious on that one.

Not sure, I haven't started it on a -20 day yet - but hopefully not? We shall see.

Another thing that went away, the slight momentary dip in RPM when I blip the throttle for downshift - very bizarre to me but it's always done that until the coil packs.

    That dip does sound strange
    You getting driveline vibes?

It seems it works for some and makes things worse for others from what I've read. Tom Woods actually stopped making them. I think setting the carrier bearing height/angle absolutely correct may be key.

Fun random fact, I recently munched my uv joint closest to the rear diff, most likely due to launches and aggressive takeoffs. It's already fixed and back to the usual hijinx.

Hope you upgraded the joint!! You figure out the weakest link and fix it until you find the next weakest link. Sounds like I need to get some lessons on how to launch from you.

    Hahaha, that's totally awesome!

I like the use of clear tubing there.
