They are my new favorites. Just picked up a Marlin 1895 in 45-70 but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Going to leave that one looking old school for now, ha.

i was going to get a classic wood stock cowboy rifle, but when i saw the X i just had to have it, couldnt make up my mind on caliber so i bought both.

the Henry is so smooth and balanced, you'll have to let me know how the Marlin is

That is a Henry Big Boy X in 357/38 Special with all of the Ranger Precision parts on it. It has an OEM threaded barrel with a Dead Air Wolfman suppressor.

I'm going to throw prices in here. If you are expecting something different, we can always haggle, negotiate, barter, etc.
The end result I'm looking to get to is sell these and get:
    1. Ruger 10-22 take down with a bull barrel
    2. Complete AR Lower
    3. Maybe if there's some scratch left over optics and what not <== This probably won't happen but maybe....?

OF Mossberg and Sons – Model 42C
    Caliber 22S / 22L / 22LR

Pre-World War II Model Bolt Action with a flush fit 5 shot detachable box magazine. Original State from the early 1940s when it was manufactured. No refinishing or rebluing. This was my grandfather’s (Mother’s Dad) 22 that he used in St. Louis and Arkansas hunting snakes and squirrels in the river bottoms.

I have added a scope mount and a cheapo-Barska scope (can be removed and restored to original) from Amazon because the rear sight is missing an adjustment screw. Oddly enough, it shoots accurately with Irons and the scope. My guess is grandpa adjusted it to the point that the screw was in the way and then he pitched it.

It’s hard to price because of age and condition but similar Mossberg 22’s of similar age and quality are going between $300 and $175 – that averages out at around $237.

    ========================================================================================

    JC Higgins / Sears & Roebuck - Ranger 101-18
    Caliber 22S / 22L / 22LR

Pre-World War II Model Bolt Action / Semi Auto with an 18 round tube fed magazine. Original State from the early 1940s when it was manufactured. No refinishing or rebluing. This was my Great Grandfathers (Dad’s Mother’s Dad) 22. He purchased it for my Great Grandmother as a Mother’s Day gift and she hated it. So, it sat in a closet for most of its life unless Dad came over and she’d let him take it to the woods for small game in North Texas.

It has the ability to shoot as a Semi Auto on full power 22LR or lock the bolt closed and run it as a bolt action for 22L or 22S. I like to run heavy for caliber 22 sub sonic in it because with the bolt shut and the 24” barrel it is almost suppressor quiet. Despite the antiquated sights it is also fairly accurate – better than my eyes can see for sure. It has nicer furniture, with a Monte-Carlo stock than the rifle above.

It also has an odd bolt mechanism. In Semi Auto Mode when you pull the trigger, the round fires and straight blow back pushes the bolt open – BUT IT STAYS OPEN until you release the trigger. Some times these were called “Gill Guns” because of the gills on the side or “Klick Klack Rifles” because of the click-clack action of the bolt. As long as you don’t mag dump it, the rifle feeds reliably. If you do mag dump it, the feed lips get jammed up and you have to disassemble it with live ammo in it still. So slow purposeful fire with this 80ish year-old rifle.

It’s hard to price because of age and condition but similar JC Higgins and Sears and Roebuck / Savage / Western Auto 22’s of similar age and quality are going between $325 and $95. I’m not sure why so cheap because in my humble opinion it is the better gun of the two rifles. Somewhat subjective but I’d value it at about $250.

NOTE: I've also got a 1980's / 1990's Lever Gun in 30-30 that I'm looking to sell too. That one will come with a few boxes of ammo. But I'm not as motivated to sell it (too damn fun) and I'm starting to see LOTS of 30-30 come back on the shelves and at reasonably humane prices. Not the $4 a round it was during the Pandemic.

    Caldwell Lead Sled DFT

    New in sealed box.
$120 cash pickup at Scottsdale Gun Club Parking lot
this was over $240 new when I bought a few years ago.

Dual frame design disperses recoil energy even better than the original Lead Sled
Dual frame alignment system adjusts 22" to fit rifles and shotguns of virtually any size
Extremely fine windage and elevation adjustments with finger tip control-18 inches of adjustment
Improved weight dispersion through our unique baffle and tray system
Stay in optimal shooting position by making elevation corrections using the rear elevation collar

What is the difference between the original Lead Sled and the Lead Sled DFT?
DFT stands for Dual Frame Technology and that design is what allows for some of the advanced features of the DFT. The front support cradle can be adjusted 22″ forward to rear, allowing the rest to accommodate very long guns all the way down to handguns.

The Dual Frame also allows Semi auto rifles like AR-15’s to be used with detachable magazines. A 30 round AR mag will fit right between the two frame tubes. Other advancements include the rear elevation adjustment and front cradle windage adjustment.

I was searching the web looking for a SIG 556 charging handle, saw a couple of old post on sig forums that you were toying with the idea of 3D printing one.
Did you ever get that done?

sadly the rubber on my charging handle has disintegrated and it is impossible to find a replacement ☹️
