I'm an old f...but I don't dig the 24 Pro seats. I'd go offroad for/because of that and 6MT. But you won't get the high spec engine...maybe that's ok too.

I think it's going to depend on dealer markup. If we base it on today's pricing, TRD ORP is around $50K new and TRD Pro is around $55k-$60K. At least, these are the prices I'm seeing in the LA area.

I'll estimate rims will cost around $1500, lift kit to cost about $1750, and grill to cost about $100-300 depending on OEM vs aftermarket.

If it only comes out to like $2k-$3k difference, I'd probably just fork out the extra money for the Pro. If dealer is asking for $10k over just because it's a Pro, I'd stick with the ORP and slowly upgrade towards a Pro look.

Lastly, are you comparing TRD ORP Hybrid to TRD Pro? Because the Hybrids, Pro, and Trailhunter trim pricings won't be out until next year. If you're comparing the ORP 2.4T coming out this December to a Pro, I'd imagine the price difference will be huge and you should just shoot for the 2.4T if you didn't want the hybrid drivetrain in the first place.

Welcome to tacomaworld, but you’re full of it. You couldn’t possibly know when Pro pricing will be released. :D

I can’t tell if you’re kidding or serious.

It’s already public info that all the hybrid models including the Trailhunter and Pro will begin production in April.

I'm going with the pro and the main reason is resale value. Before the market went bananas the pro was usually MSRP or very close to it. Always able to get a deal on the other trims. But now they are both going for MSRP. I'd actually prefer the manual but I want that 465 torque more. But if MSRP pricing increases to much I'll continue on with my 1st and 2nd gen. I was set on getting a tundra pro but the 22 jump around 14k over the 21. (55k to 69k)

People might stop buying Tacomas like they use to. 3G Tundras don't carry the same resale value as the 2Gs.

I’m with you there. I was thinking of waiting for the TRD ORP 2.4H, but I have this gut feeling it’s going to be stupid expensive.

I’ve decided on a 2015 TRD Pro instead. Will be delivered by next week.

Good. We don’t have to worry about your ridiculous assertions about 2024 prices.

New timer here, so go easy on me! (First Post)

Speaking from experience, I will tell my story below, and what my plans are with my 2023 TRD PRO:

I was waiting long and hard for the TRD PRO '24 and working with my dealer for months on end contemplating colors, options, and potential "Trail Hunter" options pre-showcased months ahead of time. Already having '14 TRD, they got me into the '20 Off Road Premium (Cement). The upgrade from the '14 to the '20 was already astonishing to say the least. I was looking to change to KING shocks right away to build my own "TRD PRO" and make a "better" PRO on my own taking the lesser downgraded version of the TRD PRO and then changing the suspension on my own.

Jumping to the good stuff: The '20 100% saved my life. Unfortunately the truck is no longer with us (hence why we are in the '23 Pro) due to a bent frame, but I will attest for all of the features of the "crawl mode", 4x4 variable modes, etc. The truck went through tumultuous terrain, embankments that I thought it would not recover from, and boulders I for sure figure that it would have centered and any other 4x4 would have not been able to overcome.

After the dust, plastic, and metal shavings settled, we were able to allocate a '23 TRD PRO and can honestly say I would not change a thing on the '23 PRO setup we were able to obtain. After seeing everything on the stock setup on the Off Road Setup that we had that got us through what we did, I realized that on the stock FOX PRO setup and the FOX that on the PRO will MORE than handle the job. Down the road I will more than likely change them to KINGS when they wear down, but no time soon in the slightest.

In recap:I will be a "Toyota Man" through and through. Changing shocks or not. Either way if you change the suspension by choosing a upgraded version or not, go Tacoma. One life saved here regardless.

PS. Seeking advice on the '23 TRD PRO build from all of the members! Not a whole lot of additions so far, want to build to the best of what it can be, so don't want "skimp" on anything. Will list the few we already have below (nothing so far), please feel free to list your ideal next options ($$ doesn't mater so wan't to build it right after what the above situation happened). Trying to rig it towards overlanding or anything happenes (BajaDesigns, Prinsu, etc).

    Lift - Wescott Design
Tires - Nitto Ridge Grappler 285x75xr16
    Sliders - CaliRaised
    Intake - K&N
    Exhaust - Carven
