FS: Complete 2GR v6 Engine, Pnw

These are the VVT-i solenoids, not the sensors. They are the same with or without the vacuum pump.

There are different suppliers, etc. for the solenoids. In North America the flat type replace the toothed looking ones. They’re interchangeable.

I’d probably just get the ball and install it in the existing cam.

Motors already out, so worst case as I keep it as a spare as I'm sure I'll blow one up again.

People are going to know you don’t fuck around when you show up to wheel with a spare Cv, leaf pack and a spare motor in the bed.

 

With our group, we pretty much have everything besides a spare motor Should probably bring one with how many of us smoke out the 3.5s.

 

Motor is out and ready to go, asking $3000 obo for it as its just going to sit until someone needs it. Willing to trade for other Tacoma parts, like a Ford 9" based rear end/bypass shocks/supercharger +cash on my end.

Comes with all accessories (needs new fan), complete engine/trans harness (should fit all 3.5l autos)

What I don’t get is that price seems like a bargain compared to horror stories of dealerships wanting $20k-$30k to install a used engine. Indie shops asking 10k to install this motor. A few threads on here where owners were desperate to get an affordable engine replacement. At the dealership today getting both diff fluid changed and noticed some poor bastards 3rd gen on a hoist with the engine out.

Although @Buttskevin21 makes 3rd gen engine re & re look and sound easy.

I guess there is no need at the moment for a non-off road 3.5 in the PNW?

 

Yeah, i pretty much have only gotten 1 hit on it. Most people with a 3.5 are paying/having a shop do it, no offense to anyone haha. I guess I could try to hit up some shops or see if I can even sell it to a junkyard. Otherwise, I'll just keep it and rebuild it entirely

See this thread kills me….someday I or someone else will need a 3.5 and one will have to be found from a parts puller for 5-6K. Great deal and of course no interest. That’s how it goes. Not that it matters anyways because it’s so far away, but I just think it’s kind of funny.

 

Actually a VERY decent deal. Surprised that someone hasn't snagged it up yet.
