Pro is also the cash cow here. I think everything is going to be standard equipment, like the sway bar disconnect which isn't necessary in the Pro. Toyota says it frees up the suspension to make use of the front shocks full range of travel, and I'd rather have it than not have it. Pro is a $70k truck. I will say the swaybar disconnect does not sound necessary considering how Toyota markets the Pro, SBDC sound more like a Traihunter only feature.

That's a lot of R&D money to recoup on an option of a (somewhat) limited production model.

We’ll see in a couple weeks when prices hit, but that particular truck won’t arrive until spring so Toyota has time to weigh reaction and at least offer a delete option.

 

They may make it an option and add to other trims, you never know with toyota. They do dumb things sometimes and sometimes good things

 

Some see it as a disincentive to get the Pro (if standard), others see it as a incentive to get the Pro if that is the only model they are available on.

Also, I am sure they will be on the '25 Tundra Pro.

Not a snorkel, it's a desert air intake. Sheldon himself said its not designed for making your truck swim and they have never called it a snorkel . It's to allow better air flow while ripping across a desert

 

Floating around? It’s on Toyotas website. I’m sure your info from YouTube from 6 months is much more accurate though.

 

The truck isn't even finalized yet , they haven't even built one yet and there is no build up. But hey you keep believing everything. And just to be clear , I'm not saying they will be an option but until toyota actually puts out the build tool you Need to stop whining about a truck you were never going to buy regardless of the seats

 

Would you assume it would be more useful for their " desert racer pro " and not the overlander ? The way they are marketing the two is a bit conflicting.

That would've given us a TH without the iso seats and intake. I would have preferred that option.

 

Even if it's optional, they will all (98%) have it. The few that don't will sell for a (dealer) premium 3x the cost of the option.

 

I find it amazing so many are complaining about the seat and most of you want an Sr5 or Off Road.

If I get anything it will be a trail hunter , I go in the hills a lot and if it comes with a long box that's the main reason . We can't get an off road in Canada with a long box , only the sport or Sr5 . Probably going Tundra though due to room

 

Any word on pricing yet? Also, how are some people able to pre-order? I don't see that option on the Toyota website

They are just putting themselves on a list. You can’t order Toyotas. Most know this, a rare few people truly believe Toyota will build a truck specifically for them. We call those people delusional morons.
