Yikes. Scary to think how much it's going to cost to replace those items, plus the general fixing up. Meantime the landlord has zero income from that piece of the property.

Last week I noticed some insulation on the passenger side floor of my truck for the 2nd time so decided to check the cabin air filter. Naturally a huge mouse nest was all packed in there, cleaned it out, replaced the filter, and squirted peppermint oil on it.
Today l figured it might be a good idea to check the engine air filter too, it was packed full of acorns and nuts, cleaned it out good and squirted a little peppermint oil on it too.

    Wow. Not good.
Those little bastards like to munch on the knock sensors in the 2nd Gen trucks.
Evidently the soy based coating on those wire are “good to eat”.

    Honda make a rodent tape.
It’s expensive, but it seems to work pretty well.
Luckily, I’ve only found a bunch of leaves in my cabin filter.
The 2nd Gen truck have an open box lid in Fresh Air mode. No screen, nothing at all to stop junk form “falling” in the air box.

Think that Honda tape has hot pepper or something similar embedded into it. For the engine air filter, I need to look in the fenderwell to see if I can make some sort of a screen so they can no longer get access to the box.

So we picked up Pierce today, and over the course of an hour drive up from Bensalem with the windows down, my allergies started acting up; Amanda is allowed to have her cat, but he would be relegated to the room she is renting.

Long story short, maybe five hours after getting him home it looks Amanda has to give him back permanently; I didn't realize how bad my cat allergies were. I took this picture before we left Pierce's temporary home in Bensalem...

I got into something outside this week that’s torn my allergies up too.
    Probably mulching leaves….
I don’t know, but I’m ready for it to go away.

Not really; I have discovered that I don't have the resources to do large scale scrap runs. A lot of the career scrappers either have full-size pickups and/or a trailer; I could get a decent trailer with a title for a few hundred bucks, but it could take months to recoup that money and I don't really have a place to put it when not in use. Also, I don't have the connections to get my hands on a half dozen or more central A/C units for one run; I've only scrapped one residential central A/C system in my entire life.

Brass and copper are worth a lot, and stoves seem to be about $10 each. When stripped down, a single window A/C can bring $10 to $30.

There are numerous free trailers available on Facebook marketplace, but none of them have titles, and Sullivan's will not take any kind of trailer or vehicle without a title.

Can relate, my brother in law doesn't even come in my house with his cat allergies.

    Why can't she keep him?

I'm the same way I can't do a cat house for more than 10 minutes. Probably 5 minutes in the spring.

Getting in bed is the worst.
Almost instantly, I’m having to breathe through my mouth. And I hate that.

I’ve resorted to staying up late and getting up early. Combined with sleeping in a recliner.

I can tell you that the 2 products below have not seemed to help me. But I’m not a doctor, and they might not even be the right things to take. But I had to “try” something. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
