    I love javelina hunting in the desert near Wickenburg. But most years that’s in February and will often visit for Spring Training but I prefer cold over hot…even if it means dealing with the rain.

    I wish we had javelina and pigs. I haven't hunted AZ yet even though I've been here 10 years, but it's coming. My friend has a place up near Williams I can base out of a couple times per year and I have a place to hunt up near Lewiston, Idaho. Slowly getting things lined up for retirement.

    We're at the beginning of our winter cool down. This should be about the last of the triple digits for the year.

    Went for a bit of a hike today. Nothing crazy but it felt good to get out and move. Haven’t done much hiking in the last few years because of my back issues. I kinda wanted to keep going but also not. Not in any pain for a change so I didn’t push it. Also only packed warm clothes so hiking in 70* weather in thermals and flannel isn’t ideal
