So I am tentatively purchasing a New 2023 IF Toyota can get me one...I am requesting a 2023 4cyl SR5 Auto Access Cab in Barcelona red...Put a deposit down

They were like "I know you love the truck you have now...but the trade in number will not be good..."
About $1K for my 2010...because...it has a lot of things that need work..and the final straw that sent me purchasing was the steering rack hard line failure...
Westboro toyota had a $4500 markup..
This place wanted a $3K markup...I got it down to $2k but they are throwing in a bed mat and bumping up my trade some...so the markup is ~$1K...Everyone around here still has ridiculous markups..They had TWO tacomas on the lot...
I hope I have it by christmas...
Out the door price with $630 in fees and $2400 in MAfuTax $40,800

I'm going to strip my truck of anything not tied down before the trade...I think I'll even revert the radio back to factory

For the you got screwed on your trade in people...Everything that is wrong with my truck list
    at 242,000 miles…
-Air conditioner, compressor, failure, and leak. No AC for two years now.
-Coolant bypass leak (plastic needs metal line replacement) so glad I didn't do this month ago when I was thinking of doing it.
    -Transmission housing weeping
-High-pressure, hard line for the rack and pinion leaking horribly and cannot be replaced without replacing the entire rack. If you replace my rack you will also have to replace the upper and lower control arms because they are so rusted. I am sure that they will never be able to return to original, and you will probably not be able to align steering. Basically a complete front end replacement.
-My steering lower intermediate shaft needs replacing - rust
-exhaust is rotted at the cat back (fell off) and needs replacing
-manifold is cracked and slowly leaking
-blower motor issue, and interior exterior control is busted
-5 errors codes for evap canister throw every time it rains and I have a full tank
-Driver seat from the previous owner has multiple holes in it that were patched but now have become visible again. It looks like someone shot the seat with buckshot and then filled in the holes with the glue.
-Left door armrest cracked beneath the fabric
-tons of cosmetic scratches to the interior plastic all around the access cab seats from my dog platform… I guess I should've padded the 2x4s
-right rear quarter has a rough up and fixed dent from where I sideswiped a concrete pole and pushed it back out… Also, a long, thick, scratch along the side of the truck from where an electrician pulling a wire dragged across my truck but I couldn't prove it was him…

But it does have brand new brakes all around in the last 3000 miles and new brake cables for parking brake. Clutch was replaced like 20,000 miles ago I just replace the clutch master cylinder. And it has four steel wheels with Michelin defender LTX M/S probably still have 30 or 40,000 miles left on them of you drive like me.
And it does have the 4 x 4 switch illumination mod so I got that going for me
That's all I can think right now.

I mean yes I do, but I'm just going to slap a head gasket in it and only do necessity items to get it running again. I'd much prefer a 1gr or 2uz swap at this point. My buddy had his 2wd truck stage 2 s/c and the motor blew on the highway. He hasn't been able to drive his truck in years. If I could even give @TreeFortRichard 2k or 3k for his truck I would since I know my buddy would buy the motor and that would almost cover the cost of the truck

    It's a 2.7 4cyl 2Tr fe not a v6. Is that what you need?

it's also funny, because I have a friend who was interested in the truck, but I refuse to sell it to him because he is not "mechanical" and just really wants a Tacoma. I would end up having to help him work on it or have to listen to him bitch about it lol

it would make my day to sell it to someone on Tacoma world for like $2K and have them give it a new life by donating its organs to save needy trucks around New England. I just reached my limit with what I can accomplish in my driveway with this thing.

Yes I have a 2TR and my buddy does as well. Motor still runs good and doesn't burn any fluids?
