I haphazardly placed a fake hand on the bull bar with the zombie trio and only realized after looking at the award picture that I'd done exactly what I was afraid I'd do and left the damn thing; I was sure I'd lost it, but was amazed when I went out to the truck and found that it had someone stayed there the whole time, including a decent amount of time on the turnpike!

Obviously, things worked out with my girlfriend's cat, Pierce. Her ex's mother's childhood friend was keeping him temporarily, and we had a scare where he thought he was going to get evicted from his apartment, but that got settled. On Friday, we picked up from that friend who lives in Bensalem; I thought that even with windows down in the truck, and Pierce confined to a carrier, my allergies were still acting up. I spent a decent amount of time with Amanda in her rented room, with the cat obviously, and I was fine. Looks like Amanda gets to keep her beloved feline for now!

 

I've had a bad year with allergies too, besides Tylenol Sinus also picked these things up, they help a little.

 

Another score on Facebook Marketplace from somebody who is renovating their kitchen and giving away the outdated appliances for free. This Jenn-Air downdraft electric range was probably $2,000+ when it new about 20 years ago (today, an electric range with a self-cleaning convection oven can be had for less than $1,000!). It features interchangeable attachments including a fryer and an electric grille. The convection oven is self-cleaning. The house it came from was built in 1979, and the current owner bought it from the original owner a few years ago. The range was installed in the island, and the new owner wanted a convention ventilation system. The burner elements were wearing out due to old age and it got to the point where cooking took forever. The owner bought a new range, but found that the whoever installed the Jenn-Air connected aluminum wire to copper wire. A simple stove replacement turned into a major project that cost approximately $1,500! In addition to the fact that downdraft ventilation literally and figuratively sucks (especially in a gas stove because it sucks the flame away from the pot), the inner workings required for downdraft ventilation take away valuable space for the oven cavity.

 

I thought the oven cavity of the Jenn-Air (top pic) was considerably smaller than that of the GE wall oven (bottom pic) at my parents' house, but after measuring both, I found that the Jenn-Air only has a few inches less than the GE; 2 feet wide and 16" tall for the GE, 23' and 14-15" tall for the Jenn-Air. My parents' oven also does not have convection, but my mom only used it twice at our old house that did have a convection oven...

All in all, this is a pretty nifty stove, but Consumer Reports did not have particularly nice things to say about Jenn-Air the last time that I read appliance reviews...

 

I believe "modular range" is the correct term for this thing, and as such it has the ability to go from four burners to two grills at a moment's notice. Here are the grease traps...

Purely out of the kindness of my heart, I helped out @Stitchgirl90 's ex and his mom buy paying for a few Ubers. His mom paid me back for all but one, and they let me have something from their storage unit in the Poconos...
