Is it possible to break the tensioner? Because I think I just broke mine somehow lol

Anyone know a good speed shop in San Diego they'd recommend? This is a little too uncomfortable with how much force it's taking and it hasn't even budged lol

 

Is @greenEFSI nearby? I know they do some work for people (at least in the past).

EDIT: Hm, they are in actual LA, not that convenient to you. But maybe they have a recommendation.

 

Those tensioners require 45lbs of forward force (clockwise motion) in order to make it start moving. It needs more ugga ugga power from you and if you DID indeed break it, I can always send you my Roush tensioner in the meantime if it's urgent.

 

I think I just marred open the whole a good bit, thank you though. I started realizing the tensioner is fucking aluminum like why lol.

Has anyone used a regular old power steering pulley press tool for the pulley install? Or a shop press?

 

Good questions most if maybe all use the URD tool. A few likely have one to lend if needed. Mine is around somewhere or someone locally that has it. also not super expensive from URD.

I'm doing something identical with how I mount my canton reservoir. Did you just mount it to that M8 bolt on the bottom, or also connect to the side wall or another point for stability?

I also found I can rebolt in that secondary air pump controller to the stock location, but it's pressed against the reservoir. Anyone know if that controller is susceptible to overheating? Maybe I can hammer down that bracket a little.

 

I removed my nose drive and used a 20 ton press to install the pulley.

 

mine is mounted to a 2x3 rectangular bracket i made only at the bottom. its pretty sturdy.

 

What is that shiny square thing and why don't I have one in my engine bay?!

its a quality unit. the cap is spendy as its billet.

 

Has anyone found an o-ring for the intercooler and replaced their original one? The black o-ring that goes around the lid. I looked on Page 1 and on Maggie's website - didn't see them. Should I call Maggie?
