Nothing like chasing the cat and a mouse first thing in the morning. Cat knows I'm taking the mouse and runs off

It’s whit against whit. The faster you learn, the cat is going to learn. The question is who came out smart the other. You amor the cat.

Friend of mine had mice in his basement, his method was unusual but effective. He ordered some night vision online, then set out a plate of food and hid in the closet with his pellet gun.

Yes, entertainment is scarce in our area

Got a fieldstone foundation? If so, get some steel wool and plug every gap bigger than a 1/4 inch. Also check for drilled holes around your sill plates that are now empty. Ask me how I know these things

Also watch where your cars are obsessively watching and waiting. A telltale sign

    Good morning everyone :hattip:

Full cinder block. The main mouser has been poised in the basement since the start of the "invasion". She was staring at the cistern pressure tank yesterday which is right next to the dryer. Thought they might have eaten through the foil vent, but I couldn't find anything.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I still like my oil I can put the 100 gallon transfer tank in the truck and haul fuel.

Lugging the 100 pound propane tanks gets old fast.

After the first snow or ice no deliverys till the winter is over.

The cat that comes to visit has removed the Rodent problem for good .

I don`t even see any signs.

4 lazy cats that are to spoiled to hunt?

BTU for BTU oil does provide more. But with an aging tank and less than stellar oil companies it's getting old. Hauling 20 gallons at a time gets old. Local propane company would install two 120 gallon tanks. Back of the house is pretty accessible through the lane going back to the farm.

The two youngest ones still will. The other two are 13 and 10, so they've slowed down a good bit.

The option of having 700 gallons of fuel is nice.

I’d move that dryer (and washer if next to it) to get a sense of what’s going on back there. Could be a gap in the mortar.

    In cats I trust…

Doesn’t matter how low either, mice will find a way.

It's foamed and caulked, but I'm sure they could squeeze by the little plastic mesh thing on there.

I was thinking hardware cloth. Holes are a little smaller. Just gotta be more vigilant on cleaning out the lint.
