Egr ?

Hey guys, just a quick question. Does our 3.4L's have a EGR in the exhaust/Headers?

 

Some of them do, I forgot what years

 

Bump! No one knows?

 

pre 2000 3.4 liter tacomas/t-100 had egr in some, depending on state smog regulations

those are shortys................they have the connection for the y-pipe!

they should be pretty good man. im gonna be looking into some dt's myself when i get some of my other mods outta the way, and probably a better y-pipe too, unless i can find some thorley long tubes or trd headers for a better price.

 

Wow i think those are more expensive than the TRD ones, Ive heard non-supercharged 3.4 liters only get a 10-15 hp gain from headers. They look cool though

 

Cool, I thaught about the long tubes, But I really dont want to get rid of my cats. Smog reasons.

 

i dont blame ya there. those thorley shortys should be pretty good for ya man. those and a better flowing y-pipe should do pretty nicely!!

 

Yeah, they say that these are a upgraded version of the TRD and JBA's. Alot of people like em' and reccomend them on our trucks. I've got CAI and Exhaust and now its about time to complete the system.

You'll see really impressive numbers after you supercharge it! I think you should do that

 

lol...I really want to. But not really ready yet. Plus I know i'll be pretty happy with my performance after the Headers.

 

urd has some very nice y-pipes, but if you dont wanna pay the price for one of those, an exhaust shop may be able to make you one for a pretty good price. its worth asking about anyway. as for the urd ones though, they are all mandrel bent and smooth as far as i can tell.

Sometimes it comes with the headers as a package, good idea to call and ask

 

hmm....come to think of it, they may not have one for the 3.4L. yet. im gonna look into y-pipe's for the both of us then.

 

im thinking hard about one of these too..................just gotta find out if there will be any negative effects at all.
