SCS BR6 vs Sema pro wheels

My advice on getting SCS wheels is this.
If your going offroad,
check out their "blems".
I have one that I use on spare tire. The only thing I saw wrong was on the backside, a small area of light paint.
The scratches from Moab and northern WI are easier to see than the blem.

 

Sean wheels. Refuse to support a company the manipulates stock to increase demand. Not to mention they are pretty much knock off wheel designs.

 

They really aren't the greatest quality either. After 5 years, the paint is bubbling in some areas on mine and the fake bead lock bolts are corroded and staining the wheels (bolts deff aren't stainless steel)
I reached out to SCS and they wanted to silly money for new bolts.

Cool looking wheels but not worth the hype. There are plenty of less expensive wheels that are better quality. Next time around I will try another company.

 

Any photos of the SCS wheels with that wear and tear?

 

All the bolts have corrosion, about 7 of them have the corrosion and the paint around the bolt is starting to bubble.

Each wheel has a few spots where the paint is starting to bubble, and a few spots have flaked off. Doesn't look terrible in the second pictures but each wheel has a few spots that are doing this.

 

Understandable, but it might provide some context for the OP. FWIW I have F5’s but also bought them for $450 so they were certainly worth that price to me

With that said, my vote would still be for the SEMA’s. I think they look good, have a nice offset (+4mm iirc), come in three colors (silver, bronze, black), and provide more options for tires (even though OP stated he plans on keeping same tire size).

 

every other tac/4runn has those old looking flat paint semas, the other one is a big yawn
dont bother me till you find a better choice

 

Almost as boring as TRD PRO wheels.

lobe the KO2 but they don’t make a skinny 33. The MKs which are the mud tire come in a 255 but to keep with KO2’s we have to go to a 285 which is the route I’m taking. Been all over North America and Mexico without a flat in my KO2’s

Assuming your truck is mgm or black based on your profile (hard to tell) I would suggest bronze SEMA’s if they are still an option. Much less played….the new trd pro wheels in bronze (pic below) also look nice imo if you want oem, but something a little more rare, for lack of better words.

 

My truck is MGM.
I have the semas but I want to change it up to something else and my other option was the SCS BR6
