Check your states lemon law, in Virginia, you have had to buy the vehicle new, still under warranty, tried unsuccessfully to have vehicle fixed for the same problem, 3 times or more, or haven't been able to use vehicle for 30 days or more. Their are lemon lawfirms that specialize in dealing w/ auto manufacturers , thats all they do and it doesn't cost you anything unless you win, Their fees are added in on top of what they deem your vehicle is worth in the settlement.

Hope this is till holding up. Wondering if you have any specific links for the weather stripping? Just want to make sure I get the right size.

holding up fine really you can do it many ways. the most cost effective would be getting the expanding foam and cut three pieces. angle the inner cuts to avoid blocking washer fluid from spraying properly. from there any weather stripping that will redirect the fluid flow away from the cowl vents will do. I'll link the expanding foam below.

On a long drive in really hot conditions. my ac condensation dripped onto the floor mat once, but ultimately no other issues. I could try to fix the sweat but it happens so infrequently (literally the one time) it's not worth trouble shooting. let me know if you find something else!

Mine leaks only when I go through a car wash i think it's from the windshield replacement though.

I've seen people do this, but I'm kinda too lazy. Even in the heaviest down pours so far we've had it hasn't leaked. Only when I go through a touchless car wash. Maybe I'll look into it more over a weekend.

Hi, new to the group. I have a 2020 Tacoma and had this water leak issue for the first time on Saturday. A friend who works in the industry (Ford) suggested possible clogged drains from the sunroof....is this a real possibility or was she selling me blinker fluid?

    Thanks

Check YouTube. I watched a clip of a guy got a long pipe cleaner snake that goes into the drains and pushes out the debris preventing potential for a leak. I've had Toyota clear mine about a year ago when they did a routine maintenance check.

I’ve had this problem twice now in my 2018 4 door Tacoma with a sunroof. Passenger side is completely dry when I get out of the truck and in the morning there’s a huge puddle in the weather tech floor mat and carpet wet underneath. Had it happen once in august when we had a big rain but I had a small cooler up there so I assumed it was the cooler. Then it happened last week when I hadn’t driven the truck at all the week prior and again after a big rain. I checked the sunroof drains and the passenger side drain had a huge glob of white grease from the sunroof slide rails. Pretty sure this was my issue but will update again if it continues.

I'm having the same water issue, but I do not have a sun roof. All door weather strips look good. Head scratcher

This is a common problem when the cowl cover seal fails. The water leaks into the HVAC system.
I designed a kit to fix this. Please check out KIT4.

Other of other benefits to this.
    • Keeps rodents and debris out of the air cabin filter
    • Add a cowl intake snorkel for added protection when crossing deep water (2nd gen only)

These fit 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacomas!

I have a 2021 Tacoma trd off-road and I’ve been dealing with the same issue. Took it to the dealer about 3 times. They kept saying it was the window (because I had it changed through safelite) had safe lite take off and reinstall it. Then it kept happening. Went back to Toyota. They said they didn’t do it right so they did it again. Still happening. Now they’re saying it’s a faulty window. I doubt that’s the issue being a lot of people have this issue. I opened the hood. It looks like water can go through the air duct. It’s a faulty design but Toyota refuses to take responsibility for it. Anyone ever get Toyota to cover it?

Mine always leaks on passengers feet, when the aircon is on. It's not your windshield at all.
