just finally put mine on two weeks ago. i gotta say that i notice a better ride. you might want to put some B'laster on the top nuts a day before you start. mine were somewhat of a pain to break loose.

Am currently trying to put together a trip out west this summer, but if it falls through I may be game for this.

Edit: looks like someone who was trolling this thread a while back may be in attendance.

Yeah I noticed that. If I decided to go, it wouldn't stop me. Unless a bunch of us that follow this thread go, I probably wont.

I got my weather techs today and I have to admit I am really impressed with them. They are worth the price of the group buy.

Well... I'm Taco-less!! For now! LOL
I sold my truck last week.. ended up getting an Audi TT and I'll end up getting another Toyota truck here very soon... I just couldn't afford to keep the truck and get the car I wanted.. so with a heavy heart.. I had to let her go.. but on the positive side.. my truck went to another firefighter, so I know it will get taken care of!
Anyway.. if you don't see me on here much, it doesn't mean I'm not here, I'll be lurking off and on.. but I'll be back with a single or ext cab tacoma or pre-tacoma soon!

Sharp car, I hope the 1.8T is reliable for you, its a very quirky motor. Not sure how many miles on the car, but might want to check/change timing belt and water pump if it hasn't been done before.

The 1.8T in my jetta was a nightmare, hopefully yours will be trouble free. I got rid of my 4runner a few years ago when gas hit $4 a gallon, and got the Jetta. Turned out that all the money I dumped into the Jetta I would have saved money by keeping my 4runner.

But other than all the issues I had with it, it was BLAST to drive. It was fast as shit. I had it chipped, REVO STG 1, best investment I ever made with the car.

It's fine.. Just had new clutch installed, wheel bearings, and the dealer said the belt looked new.. But I ordered the timing belt upgrade kit and h2o pump today.. Only $250.. And it's easy to do in a weekend!!
Was going to get a newer one with the 3.2l v6, but it had some brake issues and I had to go with this one.
I'm a maintenance freak and work on all my own shit, it just comes down to how well you take care of it.. I'll do a timing belt every 60/70k miles and change awd fluid out every 25k.. No biggie!! That's what my free time is for at the fire dept!! Thats where I installed all my lifts on my vehicles!! Hahaha

Vwvortex is a great forum if you are looking for info too.

Also, ALWAYS keep a spare coil pack in the car at all times. They fail at the worst moments possible. You will be stranded without a spare.

On to the fun stuff, what will be your first mod?

Id go with an intake, and forge diverter valve :)

Yes, I guess you've been a little pre-occupied w/ your new arrival. No more time for the Tacoma. Poor thing :(
