Looking back it's the lack of realization that made them all the more cherished

 

Probably one of the biggest hindsight oofs in business history, Blockbuster turning down Netflix's 50 million dollar offer to buy them out way back when they were just slinging DVDs in the mail.

 

No one even bothered with Video City

There was a video city in the town I work in up until last year somehow. Remember Hollywood Video?

 

Oooh shit Hollywood Video, yeah they actually came in and took over the building Video City used to be at in my town

The candy was cheaper there than Blockbuster

 

Used to go to Hollywood Video on Fridays to get an XBOX game for the weekend as a kid. I miss that

 

Same, in fact I only ever went when I went with my old best friend

 

What I miss is the old days of Xbox Live, on the OG Xbox

Or hell even XBConnect and on Ventrilo or Teamspeak

 

Ventrilo spamming was always fun, we used teamspeak a bit before Steam got its server legs under it though.

 

Soon as I typed that, the oh so familiar audible alert when you pushed to talk just came to mind
