I made a rash decision to get MTs rather than wait and get 17 inch wheels and then AT pizza cutters so I'll live with my choices for now rather than abuse the service like folks are prone to do these days. Besides they look cool and that matters most according to Rule #1 lol

Wait, what?!? You're not going to take advantage of the system?? Isn't that un-American??

Just kidding, so many abuse the system it almost seems normal now. Very commendable of you to do the right thing!

Save up and buy the 17s and a reasonable highway tire. Keep the MTs on 16s and make room in the garage.

I spent a little time and modified a 2nd gen OverHead Molle panel to work in my Double Cab. Used some rivnuts in the spots where the grab handles used to be in the back seat.
Came out really well i think. I did have to change from standard round rivnuts to the "x-style" because the round ones didnt hold well in the rectangular slot where the handles used to be.
#1 goes into the RivNut and #2 i added so i could attach the new grab handles.

@Maddog-51 thank you for your business?.............. We do appreciate your support. The mud terrains definitely make the Taco look more rugged and off road capable.

Today was an unseasonably warm day so I finally got to get the door sill protectors installed. I'll go out and check them in a few hours when we reach peak temp of like 80 degrees to make sure they are still stuck down but i'm slowly working out of my parts box to get everything done by winter.

If anybody has replaced the front bolt for the coilovers per this thread has a second, I have a couple quick questions before I attempt this:

Good choice on the mLVD! That is some excellent boat tech that I decided to install on my rig as well. Clean install. My compliments. I feel you on the "a lot of work to get three devices hooked up" comment. When I installed my front bumper and winch the longest part of the install was the wiring.

What type of tires are those? I went to your build thread, but could not find it (Probably missed it).

Sorry ... I didn't put these in my build thread.. maybe I should? I consider tires a maintenance item at this stage and figured that unless I went up a size that I wouldn't include it.

I started a thread about these a couple months ago when I bought them .. hopefully they work out.

A few mods. Having fun doing the mods I’m comfortable doing. New grill and lights. TRD cold intake and oil cap. New brake lights and a hand full of interior mods, new Alpine speakers, LED lights and storage console organizer. I absolutely love my SR5

Well I pulled the trigger and purchased the Cali raised amber fog lights and brackets. They just looked too good to pass on. Pictures posted when I get them installed. Just too many mods for these trucks. Makes them look hella good.

Tested cheap seat heater kit I got off ebay. Works fine for what I paid. I also tested 3D printed blank switches designed for inserting round switches. Looks like I am in need of a stronger filament. My project continues on!

If black filament is your thing, Atomic filament; Carbon fiber PETG will take the heat and the stress. I've used it to make new feet for the collapsible cap chairs and they survived several seasons before the fabric dry rotted. Also, Filaments.ca has a carbon fiber Polyester/Polycarbonate blend that takes even higher temperatures, but you need a high temp hotend and a relatively warm enclosure. I've used both for odds and ends in my truck and around the house without issue.

I've used the carbon PETG for production fixturing of parts during selective solder of PCB boards without issue.

I have a Pro and I'm thinking of swapping out my Rigid fog lights. For those that may have done this, did you need to get stock fog light brackets and bezels or are there full kits out there? I've looked at Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics and Rigid can't seem to a complete kit. Any guidance would be appreciated.
