2022 Tundra

Hi there, looking to purchase one of your 3rd brake light harnesses for the Super Pacific on my 2022 Tundra. I had seen some people on the tundra forums recommending your stuff and I’m local in Denver as well.

 

I don't yet have 2022 Tundra listed/covered. @Puppypunter has made a few and I think he's signed off on the approach but wanted to be cautious about it since it's new turf (yeah, I know it's 2023 now

If he sends me one I can make a 2022+ brake T with all the various options. I have all the connectors but he's the R&D expert.

 

I have tested the brake portion, so we can do that for sure. I’m in Denver too

I believe there are/were some problems with the straightforward approach.

 

I could potentially do a 7 pin harness with T and a Curt module but man that's gonna be like $150-$200 and a ton of bulk just to get brake, seems absurd.

 

Has there been any updates on this? Looking to hook up a camper shell brake light to a 3rd Gen Tundra (2024) and was hoping there might be a regular T Harness option available. If these are available I'd def be interested in purchasing one!

 

@Puppypunter @daveeasa did you guys ever come up with a harness that'd work for a 3rd gen Tundra? Just looking to hook up a 3rd brake light that I have on a topper shell that I purchased.

 

I haven’t myself. If I had hands on time with a 3.0 Tundra that might help.

As I understand the problem, de-multiplexing stop and turn incurs a delay. Without de-multiplexing you have flashing with turns on either side when not braking. Tapping both sides with diodes would prevent flashing while braking but doesn’t help flashing when not breaking.

tapping at the pedal is probably the best option. But a more challenging install.

 

I’d also be really interested in a harness for a 2022 tundra to a SP X1. My current hard-wire has the brake light flashing whenever the left turn signal is on. Are there any more updates on how far out this might be?
