Basically I stuck shocks in there that aren't supposed to be so they're bolted into one of the original two mounts, so I need to cut the one I folded back and measure the bolt and height and weld in the new one

 

Is Twitter still unprofitable? I mean it always was, they just lied about it, but its not doing any better?

 

A moron purchased it and surprise surprise all that happened was less paychecks and a name change. Oh and a couple of near total server side breakdowns due to firing critical staff. But hey you can buy a blue checkmark now, so at least the platform is continuing the trend of becoming increasingly meaningless. 50% of the advertising revenue dropped out when dipshit purchased it too, the platform has become a pariah to the point where TV shows don't even want you to engage with them through it anymore. They're currently on target to net about 2 billion less than under previous management. Because of the lax content moderation now nobody wants to associate with it.

I kind of wonder if he'll just end up closing up shop that's probably the monetarily smart thing to do because he's two billion further away from it being profitable now. At least before it was teetering right on the edge and it actually netted 3 years of profitability since going public although they were not consecutive years. But I doubt he'll do the smart thing because he's more ego than intellect

 

There's certainly an ego component, but I think there's timelines one has to conform to. You can't make too many drastic changes too fast, and you can't close up shop without giving the sequestered ideas a test, so there's probably a rollout timeline, then a last ditch effort that we haven't seen yet. I also don't think Elon has ever cared too much about failing, he's not as "bottom line" as most corporatists, it seems to me. One thing that seems true from his continued involvement in the front end of the platform is that he actually likes it; he likes Twitter (X), and that personal component probably contributes to some irrational decisions with it.
Personally idc about either's success; I'm 99% observer of him and and the new platform, but just as zealotrous as his fanbois are his haters.

 

Well I agree with you on the first part, unfortunately Elon doesn't. First thing he went and did is make a whole bunch of huge changes nearly resulting in the collapse of the framework and design of the site within the first two days. It almost reached critical mass in a complete server side failure due to absolutely no maintenance for a month. Turns out firing most of your staff before even gaining your bearings isn't a good business plan. The free market tends to agree here though as well. Kind of crazy how capitalism can cut both ways, oftentimes it fucks the working man but sometimes it claims a billionaire. As it turns out marketing professionals, investors, an advertising agencies would prefer not to have their stock, products, and services displayed next to hate speech, false information, and conspiracy theories. Doesn't give a good look to things you know? So whether Elon wants to make this work or not him being attached to it and pushing through a slew of updates to the site that reduce moderation and oversight is going to lead to its downfall whether he's passionate about the site or not if he's unwilling to change his views on supposed "free speech initiatives". I've never cared about Twitter, never use the platform myself, I personally don't really care if it succeeds or fails as a business. But I have been following it pretty closely because it has been very entertaining to watch this man cock something up so deliberately after having his regretful bid for it go through. I'll admit I'm hasty to say he should give up here, but I can say that knowing full well he will not because he's not smart enough to.

 

Not sure what color this is, but I did get this out of it, 8gal flush and new stuff(G48) went in. I'll drive it to work tomorrow and see what else is wrong. I believe the power steering is fucked but il knows soon enough...
