Howdy folks , I searched & didn't come up with anything so I'm a askin . I have a 07 4.0 . I recently pulled the throttle body to clean it . Now after a few weeks it seems I have coolant dripping from the throttle body where the plastic housing at the bottom of where the plastic part that the harness plugs into & the casting where the blue pen is pointing to in the pic . I did replace teh gasket between the TB & the intake while I had it apart . My only parts place does not have a TB gasket in stock , but can get me the one that looks like it has some kind of screen on it tomorrow morning .

The plain one just the ring they can't get till maybe Thursday . I did order the one linked since it looks like I'll be pulling the TB later today or tomorrow . Anyone seen leaks in this spot ? I did torque to the specs I found either here or on another forum , though I don't remember what thney were , I'll have to find my notes form when I did clean the TB.
    thanks

The throttle body itself would have to be leaking.
There shouldn’t be any coolant flowing between the TB and intake?

Seems there may be an internal leak at the TB?

    @Bishop84 you ever seen this?

So from some readin I have done it seems like this could be a cause of the idle kinda wanderin ?
If I have to buy a new TB any good choices ? Any to stay clear of ?
    thanks

I’d stay away from Dorman and Cardone.
@Dm93 deals junk parts daily. He’d know what ones to avoid.

But, honestly, it’s hit or miss any more even with OEM.

The last time I saw a throttle body leak coolant was on the old Ford fuel injected 5.0L and 5.8L engines in the trucks and Bronco, they were bad about the coolant passage or pipes corroding through.

I seriously doubt the throttle body is leaking coolant, are you sure a hose doesn't have a pinhole that just happens to be spraying against the throttle body?

If it indeed does need a throttle body I'd go used or new OEM

Thanks folks , I'm gonna let it run tomorrow & keep a eye on it so maybe I can see where the leak actually is . I did remove the hoses from the TB when I cleaned it so maybe I didn't get one tight ? DOn't know , hopefully tomorrow will tell me a story .
Will hopefully have good news to report tomorrow .
    thanks

So rain pretty much all day = not anything done . Those small hoses going to the TB , can I replace those if I need to with regular fuel line ? I keep 5/16 & 3/8 fuel line in my shop cabinet . If I need to buy those lines I'm a thinkin dealer ?
    thanks

I suppose you could use it for a temporary fix but I wouldn't use fuel line for coolant, I'd use coolant hose.
